Australia Post - Lakes Entrance Post Shop

I was served twice today by Wendy, a very lovely friendly lady who was extremely happy to help and very polite, going above and beyond with customer service. Thank you, from an out of Towner.

Staff went above and beyond yesterday on New Years Eve when I asked them to help me package a faulty kids Christmas gift for return for repairs. The kids had opened them at Christmas and already disposed of the original box. The staff at Lakes Entrance PO found an appropriate cardboard box and then taped and bound the package securely for me. All the while with an engaging and friendly attitude as well as not neglecting other customers. Can't thank you enough for your help and assistance.

All are fantastic to deal with, they have even helped stop a ebay scammer who filed an "item not received" and ebay refunded an hr after posting his item (with tracking & notification of it on the way.. a quick call as couldnt get down town to them before pickup) they pulled the parcel from the stillage before the daily 14:30 truck pickup saving me $170 in otherwise lost money!
Just a fantastic crew who literally goes above & beyond for their customers!

I have never had such a pleasurable experience in the post office. The lady was lovely, polite friendly and chatty but still aware of other customers. On top of this she guided me to the most cost effective option, so impressed I wish all post offices were like this.

Visited Lakes Entrance Post Office today and have never met nicer people in my travels. Such a wonderful group of happy people. I think Lynn is the manger there and what an asset she would be to Australia Post. Keep up the good work guys.

The staff here were friendly but think they were having a bad day or didn't like talking to non-locals. Shame as most of the town are happy and I am sure they normally are, but I am rating according to my experience which may not be the normal experience

Put many offside by closing Saturday 30th September, without any notice. Drove into town to collect mail articles only to find the place closed for no apparent reason. Grumpy!!

Wouldn’t let us have my order and overall bad customer support

This post office would have to be the worst case of customer service I have ever experienced. There is always a reason why they can't help, (I'm guessing they are just lazy), I am a local & hate going in there, if the staff don't want to serve customers, maybe management need to find new staff that are friendly & willing to provide customer service.

I'm leaving this feedback as this is how I feel every time I have to deal with them, its so frustrating.
