Econo Lodge Portland

We stayed at Econo Lodge - Portland, during the Easter weekend for 4 days. At first glance even though it has a bit of an aged look on the outside, the room and the bathroom have been renovated. It was very clean and comfortable.
The staff is very friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. We had a problem with the Hot water and the shower. I informed the Evening Shift Staff member around 9pm. I didn’t expect she would attend to it till the next morning. But to my surprise she came with a handyman within 10 minutes and got it fixed.

Just ur standard motel room. Nothing flash about it but nothing bad about it. Maybe a lil expensive but it’s fine

Had lunch today absolutely lovely seafood basket, daughter had steak and friends had Parma, perfectly cooked, didn't wait long at all even though the dining room was packed. Well done

Very friendly and great atmosphere

Good little place for a pit stop. Had all the basics in the room, even biscuits for tea! Bit dated but it was fine.

Bed was good and room was clean

The noise from the hotel, Music/Band played to about 1pm, Bottles from Hotel emptied into skip every 45mins, having to tell the young's ones in couple rooms down to be quite at 2:30am plus the light fitting above bed leaking on my wife when it rained. no sleep had Staff at checkout didn't care. we had a 3-night booking and checked out at 11am next morning. Free breakfast was the only good thing.

If the room was $80 a night (I stayed on a Tuesday), then no qualms. But for $140 a night and seeing what else is available for another $20, I’d definitely fork out the extra $20.
A very dingy, little room with bed sheets/blankets that haven’t been upgraded since the 1980’s.
There was a bandaid stuck to the back of the tv remote, that wasn’t a nice touch.
Great location but that’s about it.
Look elsewhere.

Shower didn't work. Either you get hot or cold water in the evening from the shower. Shower was not working in the morning no hot or cold water. Beds looked unclean.
Location, staff and breakfast was good.
