Canadian Rooster

We come to Canadian rooster most times when at Portland.
Give a huge shout out to John today who gave us excellent and polite customer service. As do all the other staff when we have been there.
Unfortunately his co worker wasn't as pleasant by yelling and swearing as a customer who was trying to figure out the entry and exit doors. Not a good look for the company and he really gives a lack of care in what you are asking for as he has served me once before.
But overall we enjoy going there.

Better than KFC, always busy but quick service and the staff are really friendly and helpful.
Drive through is usually quick and easy.

I love stopping here when in Portland . Their food is "the bomb". Fantastic every time

This place is old and needs a few dollars spent on a upgrade to the modern era. You guys have something good here so make it better. Food is great but inside would drive some people away being so old looking. Menu boards need replacing etc. Little bit of money would increase money. Although the chicken rolls are short they are full and u get a can for 5 bucks where can u beat that.

This place is unreal great value for money. great service yet it is inside outdated to the max. a nice revamp is well and truly needed. its great but could be better..

Really great experience with our meals, huge serving all really tasty, fresh with crispy chips. The Hawaiian pack I got came with a banana and pineapple fritter with cinnamon sugar and I was impressed with both. Couldn’t finish it as it was so big and compared to other chicken fast food options this is cheaper and better!

Fast service and really friendly lady taking the orders, not a dine in restaurant for those wanting to know.

Great food and great people who work in Canadian Rooster 🐓. Very friendly and are true locals owners who has lived in around Portland Victoria.
Couldn't get the a better Drive throu for Trailers over 3m high.
And the update on Drive throu and car park makes it look really good and the fish and crab sticks on menu are a game changer and donuts are very nice as a treat

I recommend you try something on there Menu if you have never been there before.

Speaking from experience they are wonderful people.

Best fried chicken. It’s juicy and tasty, just what you’d want from fried chicken. Much better than I expected it to be.

Prices are also insanely cheap for such good home style meals. Loved the retro original decor too.

Gave this place a go based on lots of great reviews, and wasn’t disappointed. Both the roast chicken and the fried chicken were great, and the chips and gravy were top notch.

Awesome pricing, friendly staff. Accidently splilt a milkshake and staff quickly cleaned up and replaced the drink.
Food was fantastic, would give them more stars if I could!

Incredible friendly! As a foreign tourist staying in Australia for over a year, it’s the first time to feel that they do care about the customers, not just for shallow chatting and smiling.

Looks like the same store I remember as a kid.. like going back in time.. saying that the food is surprisingly good and the same as I remember it as well.. chicken schnitzel chips and gravey as my favourite.. the chicken burger is also worth a try.. always a must do when visiting.
