Portland Fish N Chips

Old-school fish n chippies with a unique deliver to car service (the car parks are numbered). We were happy with it all. The grilled fish was properly grilled and not fried.

Make no mistake, this is a top tier fish n chip shop. Just out of town in a small cluster of other shops with a milkbar feel. Customer service better than 5 stars

Delivery to your car with numbers painted on the kirb, doing all the little things. Even noticed they had a delivery vehicle.

Definitely recommend to others and will be back when we are back on another fishing trip.

We had the butter fish and chips and the fish was so smooth. Chips portion was generous too given the price we paid for. Owner was very friendly and gave suggestions on the type of fish to select if you have no idea what fish to choose. After placing our order, we can relax in our car and they will bring the food to us when ready. Top notched service by the team.

This fish and chip shop was one of the highlights of our roadtrip between Melbourne and Adelaide. It was the best fish and chips I've had in a long time! The owner and his team were extremely professional and welcoming. If you have one day in Portland make sure you go here! If you have two days go twice! Friendly staff, excellent food including good portion of chips, extra potato cakes provided, great prices, food ready very quickly and delivered to our car with a smile. Staff were even cleaning the plastic fly strips at door entry, this shop deserves every bit of 5 stars and more.

They have a van! If the shops shut check the skatepark! It’s well worth coming to. Real 90s vibe fish and chips that aren’t buried in oil or leave you feeling like you just ate a potato field. Great service and great food!

Really good value for money. We originally ordered $6worth of chips but they were quick to let us know it would be too much and showed us how many chips it would buy. $3 was plenty for two people, as per picture.

The Flake is always fresh & the batter so crispy! And the chips 🍟 are just as crispy & well seasoned! The Spuds 🥔 or Baked Potatoes are so filling! I always have the lot with Garlic Butter! Hubby has opt for the Plain Butter 🧈 We have both enjoyed the meals in the menu. The latest one I’ve enjoyed is the Lamb Souvlaki! It always is a generous amount of filling! And the desserts are the best too! The Pav, Cinnamon Doughnuts 🍩 & the Jammed Doughnuts are just a treat. The best Fish & Chips 🍟 in Portland 🇦🇺

Exceptional fish and chips, worth the detours.
We waited quite a while and all of us needed bathroom urgently (which was not provided at the premises). The owner came out and explained that he wasn’t happy with the fish so he REFRIED it. Never experienced any fish and chips with quality control before. Recommend!

Stopped here on our visit to Portland. Excellent! It's hard to find places that give you decent amounts of chips, and with 4 children, who are always hungry, you need plenty!
5 bucks of chips, delicious, free container of sauce and great friendly service.

Wow what a lovely Fish and Chip shop. Friendly staff. Nice clean shop. Well priced. And the food is yummy. Light crispy batter on the fish. Chips cooked to perfection. Generous servings. And they deliver your order to your car. A good fish and chip shop is hard to find. But you won't be disappointed with this one. Well done.

Wonderful food and FANTASTIC portions. We ordered $10 in chips as that's what we're used to ordering for our family and we should have gotten $5 LOL It was SO MUCH CHIPS. We were all so full, our doggo too :P Easily the best fish and chip place I have seen for a long time.

Do not be put off by location. Once we got there found staff very cheerful and helpful. I had the potato which was fabulous and friend had fish and potato cakes. Great also. To add we had a donut which I had for breakfast as I was to full after potato. They even delivered it to the car which we sat in outside. Thoroughly recommend this

The best quality and priced fish and chips in Portland without a doubt. Very friendly service every time. Chips are cooked perfect for me with a little crunch. Who likes soggy chips. We have tried all the rest and they are the best.

Amazing amount of chips for $3. Feed both of us easily. Customer service was fantastic He even brought our order to our Van as we waited for our fish and chip order. If your hungry this is the place.
