The Last Straw Cafe (LSC), is a shepparton staple that has been with the region for 17 years. And is one of Shepparton premier foodie hot spots. With the distinctive design of the Cafe being that it is literally made of straw, and there is a clear window that shows the inside of walls of the Cafe. And the tables that you eat at as a customer are the most unique I have ever seen. Glass pane over unground coffee beans.

Speaking of coffee beans this leads me to the food of the LSC. The food is based of Thai food offering curries, stir frys and roti bread, oh my weakness. And the most delicious house made coffee I have ever tasted, with a smooth first sip taste, and glorious after kick that awakens the taste buds.

The customer service of the LSC is exceptional water on arrival and drink orders taken immediately if wished for. Smiling servers, and a a family run back of house that produces the delicious aromas, and most intriguing is the open back area that let's you as the customer see, the hard work that happens behind the scenes.

So it's with great pleasure dear readers, that I say, go, go, go, to this amazing Cafe. Booking highly recommended.

Very impressed with the strawbale bldg. Excellent place for a good meal with excellent service from the staff. Dog friendly cafe/restaurant with cosy courtyard. Highly recommended.

I recently dined at The Last Straw in Shepparton and I was blown away by the quality of the food and the friendly atmosphere. The menu offered a great selection of dishes, and everything I tried was delicious and fresh. The service was top-notch, with the staff being knowledgeable about the menu and making great recommendations. The decor was also fantastic, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Wow! Couldn’t be more than thankful for finding this business through google. 10/10 for service as soon as we walked in the door. Couldn’t leave without buying a bag of the house roasted beans after ordering the best flat white we have had since Melbourne. Then the food came out! We are on the road and needed a meal like we were at home again. The Thai omelette feed my body and soul. Your so lucky Shepparton.

Don't be deceived by the semi-industrial location because it belies the most inviting interior of high beam thatched ceiling set in a pleasant, warm and welcoming decor.
THE FOOD is the ABSOLUTE BEST I have ever tasted! Yao...Mum master chef...is gifted with turning out masterpieces of well-presented, delicious and appetizing dishes full of flavour!! Its not often I get to eat Thai food but my food buds absolutely LOVED THIS EXPERIENCE and will DEFINITELY be back for more with friends and family. Ranked up there with the best of Melbourne!

Great surprise, is in a back street and semi industrial area but what a gem. Great service, nice and warm on a cool day. Not a big friend of Thai food - friend had booked but enjoyed the meal very much.

Delightful little Cafe with a great range of cakes.. Main function is Thai lunches and beautiful coffees roasted and ground in shop. Family run business. Will definitely come back for an extended meal.
