The Milbri

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at The Milbri tonight.
We had The Feed Me option and we were very glad we did, although we did leave bursting at the seams. The food was really good with a great variety of meals and flavours that just kept coming and the dessert was to die for.
Although it wasn't very busy at the time we were there, the waitress treated us like friends, spending time asking about our trip and genuinely interested to help us experience some local places that she knew. She even took the time to write out a list for us to take home.
It was our first night on the Mornington Peninsula, and we couldn't have asked for more.

What a fantastic find! Milbri is a Mexican/Asian fusion restaurant located in Rosebud opposite the foreshore.

We booked our table online and we escorted to it by our friendly waitress. The menu is not huge but has some star dishes! We settled for potato bravas, pulled pork burrito and three hand pressed tacos. Every dish was delicious, tangy and tasty. We also ordered the flaming passion fruit mojitos and a glass of red wine.

The service was great, really friendly staff that managed our table efficiently. The food is outstanding and the drinks were a fabulous accompaniment.

Well done, Milbri! We hope to visit again!

What an incredible experience to eat here! Found you guys on Tiktok randomly and took me partner here for a belated birthday dinner before visiting Alba hot springs.

Had the tacos selection - the taco shell should definitely go viral. Made in house and unlike any tacos I’ve had before - spoke to the owner I believe who said that they imported flour from Mexico and it really has a great earthy twist and fantastic texture.

Ordered the steak which initially I thought was my mistake because I had just eaten at Victor Churchill the night before. But stoked we ordered it - steak was cooked to absolute perfection and the burnt-butter was 10/10.

Can’t recommend this place enough. They saw that we were celebrating my partner’s birthday lowkey and offered us a free custom mock tail. Loved our time here - thanks for making our night!

Excellent service and the food was fantastic, we had the meat platter for two and it came with a large selection of things to try, inc fried chicken, pork belly and beef brisket all cooked perfectly. Everyone on the table also loved the chips, I think it has chicken salt? Good selection of local beers and the kitchen was very accommodating to vegetarians.

Came in on the busy Easter weekend, food was amazing, staff were really accommodating and helpful, and atmosphere pulled it all together. Really unique Mexican with an Asian twist and our group raved about all the food and cocktails. Highly recommend.

The best Mexican we've ever tasted. Our server tonight was lovely, and the food reached far beyond our expectations. You can't go wrong with anything on their variety filled menu, including the creative Asian fusion mixed with Mexican cuisine. Please give this amazing place a try

Great cocktails that pack a punch and a lovely fun atmosphere that isn't at all too noisy.
Hands down one of the best curated menus I've experienced.
The chef's selections for the tasting menu offered a great sample of the offerings and for once represented great value, we both left satisfied and thinking about our next visit.

+1 for the great friendly staff.

Will be back and will definitely be telling everyone I know to give this place a try.

Service was so warm & welcoming on a gloomy day. We were helped through the menu & specials. So much deliciousness to choose from- vegan, gf, dairy free options all over the menu!
Food came quickly & was delish as was the coffee.

We locked them in for our company Christmas party at the end of 2022 and were blown away by everything they provided. The attention to detail in the presentation of the food, cocktails and even the beautiful table setting they created for us completely outdid our expectations. Still dreaming about the Korean beef short ribs- they just fell off the bone...

If you're looking for a company that can take the hassle out of planning events, look no further- everything was taken care of by the lovely Chris, who made the whole process so easy and enjoyable.

Had such an enjoyable meal here: wagyu tacos and crab sliders were amazing, loved the herb seasoning on the fries, caramelised walnut and pumpkin salad complemented the calamari with spicy Mayo nicely. We ordered more than we needed and took churros home, because you can't miss an opportunity for churros when the rest of the food is so amazing! Kudos to James in the kitchen!
Josh and Jess provided attentive and accurate service in a comfortable environment with old tunes adding to the ambience. Thumbs up.
Flaming Mojito is a must! Really enjoyed the Johnny Farnham and recommend the Strawberry Fields for you sweet tooths out there.

We had an amazing evening with brilliant staff, food and drinks. We had the Valentine's Day set menu. All the food was exceptional. The flavour profile of the tacos were brilliant, the corn was magic and the churros were a perfect finisher! My partner's favourite was the bao buns. All of the flavours packed a punch.

Unfortunately our night didn't end with dessert and our car didn't start. We had so much help from a couple of staff members trying to jump start our car, and when that ultimately failed, Aquaman actually gave us a lift home. Amazing staff, beyond helpful and friendly!

One of the Mornington Peninsula's favourites The Milbri never disappoints if your hankering a little Mexican or a great spot to catch up for brunch.

The cocktails are dangerously delicious with the John Farnham being a great favourite, Carne for dos (meat platter for two) is amazing value if you cannot decide and just want to try a little everything.

Friday's generally has $10 cocktails which really needs no explanation how good a deal that really is.

Stand out dishes for us was definitely the Gaucho steak which for our visits was the rump steak 🥩 although on the higher end on price was well worth it, as the chef's always nailed our medium rare and the roasted capsicum and chipotle mole was just delicious.

The Szechuan wings are always very tasty but a little spicy 🔥 in case you have someone who doesn't tolerate spice well they may not handle these well.

Great service from the staff always happy to chat and give pointers or share knowledge on the dishes.

*Update* Recently went back this time with a huge family group 10 adults / 13 kids and the team at Milbri handled and served us like champions! Big groups aren't easy and adding kids even more challenging but we arrived to a tables set one for kids, one for adults... Food and drinks flowed without a single hitch for the whole night just amazing. Well done 🙏👌

Wow! This place means business. One of the most pleasant experience we had on our 3-day trip to Mornington. Firstly the service is exceptional, you will be looked after here whether it's recommendations or anything else. The setting is best amongst any other place in the area. And the food is so good. The portions are great with respect to the prices. The night we visited they had a special on cocktails (10$) and they were all made brilliantly. Big shoutout to the bartender. Also, a special mention to our server Shelly. She made it a great experience for us! I have already recommended the place to few of our friends since returning back to Melbourne. We will definitely be back here.

Pleasantly surprised, nice variety of Mexican food items. Went in with the impression they still had the breakfast menu however the lunch menu did not disappoint.

When it’s a special occasion you are celebrating in the Rosebud / Mornington area, The Milbri is THE venue you simply must celebrate it at.

I took the whole family. Including kids and a vegetarian, and the restaurant catered well for both.

Strongly recommend the feed me option. Everything is delicious and the cocktails are a must.

They also serve apple juice that looks like a cloudy cider as opposed to heavily dehydrated urine, which I’m all about.

Absolutely amazing food, made even better with amazing service. Highly recommend and will definitely come back.

What an absolute gem. Amazing food and cocktails. The Carne Por Dos for 2 could feed 3 people and was so tasty and fun to share. The decor and atmosphere was lovely. Jess and all the staff were so friendly. What a lovely evening thank you so much. 💕
