Great place to grab lunch. It's a warm, low key cafe with good service and reasonable prices which is hard to find in the area. Great to be able to grab a good lunch for under $20 these days!!!

A couple of small tables outside and lots of tables inside. You could fit a large group inside but call ahead to confirm first.

The poached eggs are pretty runny in the middle which is perfect for me!

Highly recommend Freda's Cafe in Lilydale. Freda and her team are always easygoing and personable, happy to see us come in for a coffee or some lunch. Fast service & their chicken schnitzels on Turkish bread are awesome!! -best going around anywhere! 🤩 10/10

Great Cafe and great service, good food too, however this year Freda is officially closed for good as the shop has been put on sale so it's sad they are no longer there.

Great Cafe. Friendly staff. Awesome food can cater for all your needs with amazing catering options available. Freda was very accommodating to my catering options. We be definitely coming back for my own lunch needs and then for our next catering needs.

Excellent customer service, fantastic schnitzel and focaccias, smiles all round and great consistent coffee. I have been a customer for years and definitely the best daytime cafe in Lilydale. A+++++ to the team and keep up the great work.

Ausgrid was asked to help with the storm response in Victoria when the June 2021 storm hit the Dandenong area. Freda kept our workers full, happy and healthy by providing lunch everyday. The food was delicious and she was very friendly. Thank you so much!!

This is a very economical and popular really cosy little Cafe with great coffee. There are always locals in there and what stands out is how exceptionally friendly and welcoming the service is.

Amazing people there Freda and Fiona Kate and Kath are all lovely people they always make you feel very welcome and welcome anyone with speical needs which is good because not a lot of cafes do and they always and I mean always look after them, we have rang ahead of time to say we are bring a group of children with speical needs and ordered their drinks and by the time we have arrived there drinks are all waiting for the kids on the table! I can’t think highly enough of them they are wonderful!

ALWAYS Clean here. The food is perfect with wide selection and staff are so friendly. Nothing is too much trouble.

Been going to Freda's over the years whether it be with Michael n Josh after school for a quick catch up n ave hot chocolate in winter n play card games, soup of the day from the staff, my absolute favorite is the hot drinkable chocolate with marshmallows that the lovely ladies always present themselves to be FABO, FANTASTIC N FRIENDLY.
