I read that the Bundaberg branch is closing in October. Where does one go to access their term deposit money then close their accounts.
Branches are closing down.

A lady came out to greet us ask what we need I explained we need a statement for mums account with mum right there with us she questioned us that we need an executor. I said this is mum she said there was a 20min wait for the 3 customers in the store. She than left one other customer went shopping while we waited 20min to be served the gentleman returned from shopping before a nice guy called Jamie assisted us with the printing of a statement. I'm from the customer service industry this was poor the original lady could have printed us our statement in a few minutes and we could have left. Very sad this is why institutions have a decline in customers.

This is for CUA/ Great Southern Bank in general and not the Maroochydore branch.

I have been with CUA/Great Southern Bank for about 20 years.
When our home loan Fixed Term ended I had no end of issues changing to a new loan. Countless emails and phone calls to get it sorted because things were not done correctly at CUA's end. I had allowed over 2 months to get it sorted.

Recently the App doesn't work correctly on my mobile phone. I phoned and after running through the basics with the customer service lady I was told someone from IT would phone me back that day to assist in sorting out the issue. That was a couple of weeks ago and I'm still waiting.

Today, I phoned customer service to have my bank account limit increased. I stated the amount and the lady confirmed the amount with me at the end of the call. However, the amount was incorrect and too low. I confirmed again what the amount needed to be. She confirmed she increased to the correct amount. She told me to wait 5 to 10 minutes before paying the bill. I logged back in and she had increased the limit to the lower amount and not the higher amount I needed. I had to phone back. After explaining the situation and giving the higher amount the customer service man proceeds to say so did you confirm the higher amount?

Prior to this I would have have given CUA/Great Southern Bank a 4 or 5 out of 5.

i don’t use this bank but i was at one nearby and saw this poor 90-year-old lady balling her eyes out and trembling. this poor lady accidentally left her wallet in the store and came back to get it just as they were closing
the worker inside had locked the doors and was abusing the lady saying “no we’re closed go away” and telling her to come back tomorrow to get it. i understand that they were closing for the day, however this poor lady just wanted her wallet, it would not even take ONE MINUTE to hand her the wallet, and it costs absolutely nothing to be nice to her OR ANYONE. i was absolutely appalled by the behaviour at this Maroochydore bank. how could anyone be so rude and nasty, especially to an elderly person.
i had to stand out the front consoling this lady for a while to make sure she was okay! ALL OF THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED HAD THAT WORKER BEEN POLITE AND JUST HANDED THE WALLET TO THE LADY

Is the Maroochydore branch permanently closed?
If not, when will it be opening?
Where is the next nearest branch?
I rang the day after the original 'closed due to an emergency' sign was placed in the window and was told the branch was 'DEFINITELY' open. Drove half an hour back up only to find it was still 'closed due to an emergency'. Has never be open since, no explanation provided.

Family members accounts have been hacked because staff of GSB home loan divisions have changed security details without proper process. Tens of thousands gone from account. All about the commission. Everyone with a GSB account please be on super alert.

Don't bank with these thieves. Steal your money and hand it over to the government, because THEY didn't set up the account correctly. Customer service is appalling and no apologies given!

Never again!!! Trying to close my account is basically impossible!!!! Worst worst worst bank ever!!! STAY AWAY!
