The legacy environment is the best I have seen in any sport. The staff are professional and the culture is very supportive. No egos with staff and students willing to help you on your journey. One of the best decisions I have made was joining the team.

Honestly, it's expensive for my budget and a further than I'd like to drive. But it has been worth every dollar and every effort of turning up. The coaches are sensational and have been so patient and positive with my son. Giving him the skills, time and encouragement to succeed. The students will even hold back their own strength to let my son find his. Legacy really cultivates a place of respect, awareness and sensitivity to each other and their surroundings. My son is flourishing. He was a kid being bullied at school, feeling disconnected and hating himself. And, now he is connected and growing in confidence and appreciation. Each week I see his smile grow wider with a sense of accomplishment and hunger to learn more. Thank you for taking in my hurting boy and being part of building him up to the best he can be. It's only the beginning. I can't wait to see where his commitment to the discipline of jiu-jitsu takes him.

I can’t speak highly enough of Legacy Sunshine Coast and recommend it to anyone of any age and any ability! I have young children training in the kids classes, a teenager training at an advanced level for competition, and I have just started as a 40+ female white belt. We are all welcomed with open arms, coached with expertise, inspired by the level of skill in the gym and nurtured by an amazing community. You’ll also be impressed by a huge timetable, top-notch facilities and a very professionally run gym; morning, lunch, afternoon and evening classes all on offer, in both GI and No-GI, with an array of fantastic coaches led by an incredible athlete and fighter, Lucas Santana. Legacy SC has literally changed our lives for the better and will for you, too.

Our daughter has absolutely loved training at Legacy BJJ Sunshine Coast from day 1. The training instructors are friendly, patient with kids and use positive direction for learning Brazilian Jiu-jitsu techniques safely. So stoked to take our friends advice and bring our 5 year here as it's providing structure, fitness and discipline in her life.

I could not recommend a better club on the Sunshine Coast! I started training BJJ at 35 (never too old) with another club and made the move to Legacy as it was more affordable. As a female in a mostly male dominated gym I still have to work on my anxiety on the way to class but the minute my foot steps in that door I am immediately at easy. Professor Lucas and the coaches at Legacy are world class! They all compete regularly and are eager to pass on their knowledge. Every class I am constantly learning and being challenged. The people that train at Legacy are very welcoming and kind. If you are considering BJJ go with Legacy. I did and it is the best decision I have made in my life!

Lucas and team are fantastic at breaking down the movements technically and in a manner where even the slowest learners continue to progressively learn and get better.
Lucas is currently a black belt second degree, so whether you've been training for years or just starting, there is always plenty to learn.
Most importantly, the people are amazing. Everyone is so warm, welcoming and humble. There is plenty to learn off the more experienced and everyone is here to help everyone. Its a family

The delivery of learning material in this facility is of the highest quality, from their exceptional junior - youth program to their adult instruction the team have a manner that is both approachable and educational whilst building on the respect and principles that one hopes to see in martial arts.

For those looking to start or get back into BJJ there is a space for all of those who are interested at this gym. From the No-Gi team who train their assess off to the fundamentals sessions where the basics are drilled. The all levels sessions are full of respect for and attention to what is being taught.

Personally I found the masters sessions that are run at the same time as the juniors program to be an absolute god send for being able to train at the same time as my kids.

I have attempted to get into BJJ many times and this is the one where I stick to it. Legacy SC has a facility that gives me no excuse not to go, two training areas and great professors along with quality amenities and a community of supportive individuals to practice and learn with. Thank you.

Rafa , Marco and Daniel are great instructors. They make every lesson fun and exciting while learning the fundamentals of Jiu Jitsu at the same time for the kids. My son has no balance or coordination at all and I can already see him developing these skills in a short time. All the kids love the lessons here.

My journey with Legacy has been such a humbling and awesome experience.
