Hardest working post office in Australia, The line is always to the door but the staff work through every person with patience and understanding - thanks <3

Today I learnt that my close friend is extremely ill abroad, and that my passport expired a week ago. After speedily completing the application on line, I rushed to Double Bay Post Office. There was a queue just some 20 mins before closing. The staff were WONDERFUL and kind, and did everything possible to help me with passport photos, application lodgement THANK YOU everyone at Double Bay post office. Hila

Wendy and Angela at Double Bay Australia Post Office were very helpful in organising a passport replacement and were friendly in sorting out the requirements (after the Bondi Junction Australia Post told me that although the they were open it was impossible to do passports on a Saturday and I would have to come back Monday-Friday). My local post office is small but perfectly adequate for all my local parcel collections and any documents I need to signed or set off. It’s always busy in there so be patient. Staff have always been nice, friendly and helpful.

Needs to reopen on Saturdays again, without that time being open most working people cannot pick up missed parcels etc. Please open Saturdays again!!!

They do their best, but severely understaffed whenever I go there. The line often goes out the door and onto the street.

Allow plenty of time to stand and soak up the atmosphere, browse the wide array of surprisingly non-postal products, people-watch the many others patiently, and impatiently, waiting for a lengthy period of time, and semi-regularly see a fellow customer blow a gasket when they finally reach the counter because- service here is exceptionally frustratingly slow.

It’s a torture, not a service. Not once was a parcel delivered or left in a drop box. We both work full time with kids. Means we either don’t get to pick it up for weeks or have to spend lunch breaks to drive through traffic and stand in post office queue. If I had a choice I would not use them at all.

Every single time Australia post is the courier my parcels get diverted to the post office. Their drivers do not even bother with delivering. Every other courier it’s left safely at my address.
Last time I was waiting in line(for ages) at the double bay post office the lady in front of me was complaining about the exact same issue.

Drivers not even attempting to deliver.
We are home waiting for delivery and getting sms that no one at home.
This is happening to often.
What's the point of paying for delivery if I need to go and pick-up from post shop.

No wonder their reviews are soo low already.
Do not use Double Bay post office.. one of the worst run post offices I’ve been too. Run by power hungry individuals. Not the way to run a local post office or business. Take your business to Rose Bay they actually treat their customers with respect.

They pretend to attempt delivery but even when I am home waiting for the delivery they go straight to the post office... which leads me to have to drive, find a park, wait in a pick up Q for 30min and all during business hours... not great service considering they are being paid to deliver our mail.

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had along with not having my parcel delivered and then waiting 30mins to be treated like a criminal by the staff there… Australia post really needs to review the staff and retrain them here!
