I bought a beautiful Yamaha keyboard - a consolation gift from me to me for having to move from my home into a retirement village: and leave my piano as it was too big and too loud. Great service at Riffs n Licks. The guys I met were friendly and knowledgeable. Received good advice. I bought guitar strings, a baritone uke and separate amplification system for a reasonable price. Will make them my go to place for future needs.

Truly the best music shop I’ve been to in Brisbane. They have such good range in supply and the customer service is phenomenal. The staff are so attentive and passionate about what they do. After a not so pleasant guitar repair at another music shop, I went to riffs and licks and they took care of my instrument better than I left it. I swore there were more scratches when I left my guitar there, but when I came to pick it up, it was all polished away. Definitely making riffs and licks my go to music shop from now on. Thanks guys!

What a great store! I've been out of the music world for a while and went in to buy a new guitar. Brett was super friendly and helped me try out a few different guitars got me setup in the amp room and was able to answer some questions. The guitar I wanted wasn't in the store but they were able to bring it up and I had it next business day. Not only do they have great prices but also some of the most friendly and knowledgeable people I've come across. I'll definitely be back to get more gear

Awesome service. Great range of products. I bought a custom sized drum kit that I found on website. They were able to source and set up for me within days of ordering. Robbie provided great advice and very helpful. Website is easy to use and has extensive range of products.

What a fantastic store! Wonderful range of gear, and brilliant, knowledgeable, very friendly, patient & helpful staff! My son & I needed a new amp for his electric Fender Guitar ~ for our bedroom-size home studio ~ but didn't know which amp to buy?

The Sales Guy showed us the range, and thoroughly explained the amps to us, Nothing was too much trouble for this awesome man!

He let my son "plug-in" one of their own Fenders, and left my son alone to play to his hearts content, as he strummed & shredded away for a good 30 minutes! No Pressure sales pitch, No hassle, No standing-over us ~ Just let us play & enjoy the sounds & affects from the amp!

We made the decision to purchase the amp. At the register there was no haggling over the Great Price, we just stepped up to pay the ticketed price; But to our further amazement: The salesman we had been dealing with gave us a most unexpected & much appreciated $25 Discount!!!

What a great guy! What a wonderful experience for my young son. We will be going back again soon! ~ Can't rate this store high enough!

Just a big shout out the all the staff including the owner. Thanks so much for the 100% top notch service. I purchased a new Les Paul a month annd an half ago and went back and purchased a polish kit a couple of weeks later. While I was cleaning and polishing my new guitar I noticed a small dent in the Finnish on the front of the guitar just under the bridge. I put up with it for a while but could no longer keep looking at it knowing the dent was there. I returned the guitar and the staff had a look at it saw my issue and just gave my a new one on the spot. Thanks again. I will recommend your business and you are now my go to. Steve G.

I recently ordered and received a set of Evans db one low volume drum heads, they look and sound great. Small tip to other users pay attention when tuning particularly the reasonance head. The entire acquisition process was seamless. Many thanks Leon

Visited this past weekend. I've previously tried their Gold Coast store and was greatly disappointed with the complete absence of customer service, so was unsure of what to expect.
I'm pleased to say the contrast couldn't have been greater! The guys at Newstead were welcoming, friendly and helpful from the moment I walked in. I was after a specific guitar I'd seen on the web site, it was still in stock and, having found it for me the staff member left me alone to try it in my own time.
Decision made, and the other counter staff were equally helpful, guitar tech who gave things a once-over was happy to have a chat as well.
The only criticism I have, and it's a minor one, was that none of the guitars I looked at had price tags on them - if I'm browsing I like to know if I can afford something or if I'm just dreaming!
Will certainly be shopping there again 🙂
