Westside Private Hospital

I have had a few procedures at Westside Private hospital and have received amazing care each time. The nurses are all wonderful and friendly and make a stressful time much less stressful.

I was amazed by Dr. Terrence Tan's expertise. For years, my abdominal pain was misdiagnosed as IBS or chronic enteritis. Dr. Tan, on our first appointment, he told me it might be an umbilical hernia, which was later confirmed by an ultrasound. His accurate diagnosis was a breakthrough for my treatment. Truly remarkable!

Excellent facilities - The staff were amazing and the entire visit was professionally managed. Very impressive. Keep up the great work and thank you.

I’d heard this hospital was wonderful & it wasn’t an exaggeration. The staff were professional and caring. Never have I been looked after better in a hospital. Special shout-out to the nurses. No one enjoys minor ops but the staff were so lovely to each patient.

I had two minor procedures at Westside yesterday. Both the reception and nursing staff were lovely. The nurses particularly went over and above to make sure I was comfortable and attended to. Thank you for your care.

The professionalism and dedication from all the staff that took care of me when I went in for surgery was beyond my expectations. The nurses were attentive. Both my anaesthetists reassured me and made sure I was taken care of. Thank you all!

I had a procedure at Westside on 03/08/2022. From the moment I arrived I was made to feel welcome by the reception staff. The nurse who I had my consult with was just lovely. My amazing surgeon Dr Phil Richardson, anesthetist Dr Cameron Hastie and support team in theatre, thankyou for the wonderful job you have done. An extra big shout out goes to my recovery nurses Josh and Michelle who went over and above to care for me and my support people.

I had surgery yesterday afternoon ( 2 Nov 21) and I would like to take the time to thank two of your nurses - one was the surgical nurse working with the anaesthetist ( floor one at around 1430hrs) She had a great personality, instantly made me feel comfortable and was very informative. I went off and had my surgery, to wake up to a second amazing post-op nurse named Renee, She was honestly the kindest nurse I have even had, she was caring, knowledgable and very welcoming!!! It’s rare to find two beautiful kind people in the same place.
I have had lots of negative experiences with health care professionals and it was really amazing to have such a great overall experience at Westside private!!!!
Overall, very satisfied with the amazing work from both. Please pass this on to those staff members as they deserve an official compliment.

I underwent surgery that required me to spend a night at Westside Private Hospital. The nurses and staff were absolutely exceptional. They went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. They checked on me regularly and when I needed assistance they were prompt, patient and attentive (even at 3am haha). Thank you to the lovely staff here that took care of me, you are appreciated and I am so grateful to have received your care.

Lovely staff

I went to Westside for a gastroscopy. The procedure itself was fine, and the nurses and doctors were very friendly. I felt very comfortable during the whole thing. The only issue I had was with the reception before the day. I was given very little information prior to my procedure and needed to call up to ask many things about it, and some of the information I was given was completely wrong. They called to tell me the fasting time, which I first thought was just for food, but when I called back to ask if water was included, they gave me a completely different time for water fasting. I also checked how long someone needed to stay with me after the procedure. The reception told me with absolute certainty that it was only overnight, but after my procedure, the nurse told me it was 24 hours (as written on the instructions she gave me). This meant that my partner needed to make last minute changes at work as we were not prepared. Finally, I was not at all told about the cost for the anaesthetist being seperate from the cost of the gastroscopy, until the day before when they called to ask me to pay the invoice for it by 4pm.
It would have made me much less confused, with a much lower likelihood of doing something wrong, if I had been given proper instructions by the receptionists about what I was expected to pay for, when I needed to pay for it, how food and water fasting was at different times, and the proper instructions for after the procedure.

Staff are friendly and provide a great service. Health Assessment Form on line needs some technical support.

Long waiting period. But the care given was good.
