Taringa 7 Day Medical Practice

I have been coming to Taringa medical centre for many years now and all of the front desk staff and doctors are always kind, professional and lovely to deal with. Even when everything is crazy busy, I'm always met with a smile or a kind helpful voice over the phone. Availability for doctors is good and the online booking process is simple.

Great service ..would not go anywhere else..
My kids older now and they always end up coming back because such reliable and consistent service..
Expensive but you get what you pay for.
(There is Medicare component refund)

Staff very busy and try so hard to help.they are only human...maybe consider their viewpoint when, as a customer you are entitled and/or rude.. life works both ways

I have only had good experiences at this medical practice. I used to come here occasionally but now that I have children I wanted consistency of care and have settled on one of the GPs there as our regular GP. Shés lovely and so are the nurses who have administered vaccinations for us. If she's ever unavailable, there's always another doctor who can see us instead.

I've also appreciated the after hours service that they provide as I've twice had to bring my young son in during the evening when he's slipped and got a cut that required glue. It was so convenient to have a medical practice nearby providing care for minor injuries like that which saved us from having to go to the children's hospital.

Always a lovely experience, Natalie (receptionist) is the sweetest and kindest lady. Always a blessing to be served by her.

It's a large medical practice opens at 7am till 9pm. There's plenty of seating and room for disabled people to wait in. With plenty of parking especially for disabled and easy access. It has plenty of different Doctors to choose from that suits you or your children. It's address is 15 Morrow St. Taringa. It also has a wonderful chemist I've been going to for 15 years. It's adjoined to the practice it's open from 7am to 10 pm 365 days a year wich is great when the other chemist's are closed. It has everything you want or need with just being upgraded to have all your needs.

Not my usual GP practice, but I booked a last-minute Sunday appt with Dr Ram and only have positive things to say about the reception team and Dr Ram's care. Greatful to have a local extended-hours practice who provided a thorough and high level of care.

I had an appointment this afternoon with Dr Behzad Rafiee. He was very friendly polite and through. The RN (a lovely nurse who I'm embarrassed to say that I did not catch her name) who administered a vaccination and redressed surgical wound was fantastic and needs to be commended, as do the admin staff. Friendly, efficient, through, caring, professional...10 out 10. Well done!

I've had terrible experiences with doctors in the past. I saw Dr. Katrina Della Bosca ultimately about 6 times, for what eventually ended up being gall stones. She was incredibly kind and considerate of my social/general anxiety, and though it took a lot of appointments to figure the gall stones out (not at her fault, I had strange symptoms) she stopped charging me after my second one so it only had to go through Medicare.

Its almost a shame now after finally finding a great doctor, she'll be going on maternity leave. But if you're reading this by the time she may be back, I would 100% recommend. The one other doctor i've seen here once was also very nice too.

People are quick to criticize but never praise when praise is due. Our regular GP is in Toowong but Taringa has been our after hours emergency GP for no joke over 20 years. From chest infections acquired in an aid trip long pre COVID to PNG in 2014, my first bout of cystitis at 17, to a vegemite sandwich that made me vomit in grade 3, and today for fitting me in so quickly as a walk in when I had postoperative issues after a hystetectomy and my surgeon was away. Bonus points for immediately getting me to lie down somewhere private seeing as I had recently been surgically disembowled.

I can see the frustration if this is your day to day GP as they see emergency walk ins. We have always treated this as a back up service and see a bookings only GP day to day.

People should see this practice for what they do - they are an after hrs short notice minor injuries clinic for tge local community, and thank the staff for looking after you.

Frankly, I am surprised by the bad remarks that others have made. I have lived in the area for over 20 years and me and my family have always been to this practice, and are usually seen by our favourite doctor there. We have always had excellent care, and when this particular doctor has not been available, the other doctors that we have seen have been good too. Definitely my medical centre of choice.

Appointment for baby immunisation was easy and hassle free.
The nurse was super professional.
Most of the doctors that I have seen are professional except my latest experience with dr Diana Loy wasn’t really good, she seems not interested in her job as GP she didn’t pay attention for any details

This joint is brilliant. Ignore all of the whiners saying the staff are rude or the place is expensive. If you want a doctor who studied for 10 years at a moment's notice at 10pm on Easter Monday of course it's not going to be free. I had a doozie of an ear ache, I don't care if the staff were rude(they weren't, they were lovely). I had a wick full of antibiotics in my ear and some decent painkillers within 10 minutes of walking in the door.

Never had a late appointment. Always flexible with my busy schedule. Very friendly staff and always go that extra mile to ensure you are cared for. Dr Rafiee is a blessing when it comes to your attention and medical needs. Well done Taringa 7 Day Medical Practice!!

Special mention to Dr Davis as she is prompt with her calls, communication skills are amazing and gives her patients individual attention. I have full confidence in Dr Davis.
Reception staff need to be recognised for their excellence in customer service.

This was my local medical centre during my year-long university exchange. Had to go several times during the year, a few times for illness and numerous times for vaccinations.

Appointments were always very on time, with friendly staff all the way from reception to the doctors themselves.

A pharmacy is located in the same building and, though perhaps not the cheapest, is still convenient enough to be used for all prescription needs.

As an exchange student with OSHC, consultations were about $37, so not extortionate.

Had an amazing experience with an after-hour GP. Observant and listened attentively. Thank you so much.The care plan and medications worked excellently for our child.

The practice is handling the current COVID-19 situation wonderfully. Although the drive through clinic is in heavy demand, the staff are working tirelessly to make sure everyone is looked after. Keep up the good work!

We use Taringa Medical Practice on a regular basis for ourselves and 2 kids - twice a week at times lately. While no center is perfect, this center has huge benefits in having a good mix of doctors, readily available bookings, awesome opening hours and rarely have we had to wait around except if there is a big rush of people which is fair to expect for any business.

I have found several of the Drs there to be very good. Overall the practice is well organised. As for bulk billing, I find in certain circumstances they bulk bill, eg. if you are coming back as a follow-up visit for same condition, and sometimes at the discretion of the Dr, I think the decision to bulk bill is the Dr's decision.
