ANZ Branch Cairns

I needed to open my bank account and walked in the office without reservations. However Japanese employee Oda(I’m sorry if I’m wrong about his name) deals with procedures so smoothly and he explained how to use its app and everything. Even I completed the application process and entering my account information by myself, he called me since I setup the wrong address for delivery my debit card and explained how to fix it. I appreciate your service and totally satisfied with your help. Thank you!!

Lee was most helpful and our new account set up with ease. The building however was smelling of mould and mildew and definitely needs a thorough inspection and cleaning for the safety and we’ll being of all concerned.

On August 24, 2023, at 12:00, I went with my wife to the bank to withdraw funds from an unused account and to cancel it. The female staff at the counter efficiently and promptly handled the cancellation and the transfer at the Bank Guarantee counter. The male staff at the counter seemed to be involved in verification work and was attentive to us, ensuring that we received our withdrawal smoothly into our account. Despite having visited many times before, it was exceptional customer service. Thank you very much!!

I have had pleasant experience, nice staffs, I did not make an appointment but staff was still happy to see me, plenty sitting areas, spacious, customers have sufficient privacy to discuss their needs, definitely the best branch in Cairns.

Recently I was on holiday in Cairns. Had a problem in transferring money from my account to an overseas account. The lady at reception was very helpful. Gave me some advice and I went back to my hotel to finish my business. However encountered another issue so went back. Spoke to another staff member who was busy but stopped to see if she could help me. When she had to go to a customer appointment another staff member stepped in. Matter finally resolved.
All staff I encounter were pleasant, respectful and helpful and their advice was greatly appreciated.

Easy to find and money easy transfered in, thank goodness for aircon too.

Business ticket gets less priority, I'd be waiting for 10+ minutes on average if I'm using business line. What's the point of this then...... Normal customers walked in later got called to counter sooner than my business ticket number. If it wasn't because the Northern branch got shut down, I'd never come to this branch

1 teller open, no business tellers but do have staff at door to tell you where to wait. Cairns North branch shut down but no extra staff here

Very bad services. Promise the thing not done and follow up. I have deposited cash from ATM and taken the money and machine turned to out of service. Fill in the form promise to put back money into my account next morning. I have all contact details in the form. No phone cal and follow up. Can't find the branch number in internet. Contact ANZ call centre, useless. So, need to organise time to visit this branch again. Simply do not promise the thing you can't do it.

When entering this branch, you are suddenly hit by a strong stench of black mould... I feel sorry for the employees that have to work in this environment every day. Would highly recommend to keep an eye on the health signs and symptoms for anyone that has to spend more than two hours at this location

Hate going to this negitive bank that no one wants to serve you. Look's like this branch is getting ready to close thank Christ I don't have an account with them just have to go there to deposit for a business associate

Traveller with a ANZ card here. I was trying to deposit money in my account on a Wednesday Morning at 10 am (12th of April 2023). (The ATM wouldn’t let me deposit so I had to go inside) There was only one kiosk opened with an agent and the lady at the front. She refered me to the person at the kiosk and when I approached the kiosk I was greeted by the rudest “you have to wait I’m not finished” ever. I was also the only customer. I waited a couple minutes but I was on a schedule and none of the two employees were able to give me an estimate of the time it would take so I had to leave without making my deposit. Pretty useless, rude and not sympathic both of them. Left the ANZ more stressed and disappointed towards that bank that is, usually, really kind and helpful.

Disgraceful service here. Been with ANZ my whole life, went to make the largest purchase of my whole life and i couldn't even see a personal banker to make the payment. The girl at the teller was a nice person and very helpful. But as for the rest of the staff sitting around waiting for knock off trying to look busy so they wouldn't have to see anyone or do anything.. well if you ask me they may aswell not even be there. Fortunately manage to spend a extra day in Darwin before going bush and they had me sat down with a personal banker and payment made with in 10 minutes

Very aggressive receptionist. She knew nothing about bank services and continue to non sense arguing. Only to discover the customer service banker is hiding in the back and doesn’t want to meet or assist customers.

The worth experience I have with a bank, there is no personal care and the worth costumer service I ever been. Please be aware and don’t do my mistake Do not go there for personal loan!!!!

I’m disgusted with this branch. Giving political advice when I was opening my account seemed out of the ordinary, but the absolute lack of help with an issue with my business account has tipped me past the point of tolerance. They are completely patronizing and the advice given will kill my business.

1. Waiting times far too long each time when inside.
2. Not easy accessible with a car as need to find car park and pay.
3. Atm machine to deposit money is useless and not safe. Was trying on several occasions to deposit money but the machine keeps spiting notes back at me. And having other people watching behind you is not comfortable. Please let us know if you are going to improve this or we will do banking elsewhere.

In an attempt to streamline the bank and made the whole experience in personal and quite frankly a waste of time I will be changing Banks
