Ozmosis Café Trattoria Bar

Lovely cafe, food was tasty, service was fast, and staff were friendly and attentive.
We had Sunday brunch and really enjoyed our experience.
Prices are comparable with other cafes offering good quality food and service at $20-$25.
Not sure where some of these bad reviews come from? They certainly don't reflect what we found.

An open air restaurant with separate breakfast, lunch and evening menus. Local fresh fruit and vegetables are extensively used to create great fresh drinks and dishes. The evening menu is largely Italian and the food quality is excellent. Prices are mid market. Families, children and pets are catered for. I would definitely go again.

A place for true foodies, beautiful and tasty, is my go-to place for breakfast or dinner.

My partner and I went here for dinner already knowing the breakfast menu is elite, pizza and gnocchi flavours blew our minds and could see how much time and effort and preparation goes into each part of the meal from the chef. Thank you very much OZMOSIS we will be back.

Went there twice, and the two diners were nice. The carbonara was delicious and the lamb I took today truly AMAZING. Congrats to the chef 👏🏼

Located in the heart of Edge Hill. Which is located a short drive from the centre of cairns city. I personally love this restaurant. We had a lovely afternoon attending paint and sip hosted by chalk and cheese. Created quite the Christmas artwork. Followed by dinner and cocktails. The food here is amazing! I had the pumpkin gnocchi. If you want good food and a great atmosphere come here. I highly recommend.

This is my favourite place to eat in the whole of Cairns I am a very fussy diner, and the staff here are amazing, they go far and beyond to make sure my dining experience is amazing, l also love that they have Italian staff worming because I speak italian very fluently. I eat here often, even during work, and meet up with some of my friends here too. My family always know if we are dining out they know it's got to be Ozmosis 😀

The Good:
Staff - Extremely friendly and attentive.
Atmosphere - Quite nice relaxing vibe
Food - Delicious, nothing more!
Presentation - I think this was my favourite, the açai bowl presentation was spectacular.
Price - a bit pricey but it's quality and presentation makes it all worth it.

The Bad:
No bad, everything was swell.

Everything was great! The staff, drinks and food. Couldn’t fault it!

Fantastic breakfast at Ozmosis, I’m glad I tried it out after reading all the good reviews. I can confirm the food is great! Delicious Açaí bowl and coffe. My partner enjoyed his food too! Denis was very friendly, grazie mille.

Location - parking can be tricky at peak times, but the effort is worth it! Chill Bistro, relaxed and inviting atmosphere to watch the world drive on by, it’s easy to forget to leave. Service is on Point! Staff are helpful and attentive. Menu has options for everyone, they cater for all... coffee is a soul warming brew. Eggs Benny is my thing and I was not disappointed! Their crushed Avo just made me happy after a tough morning. Highly Recommend! *****

I have been enjoying dinners at Ozmosis for more than 4 years.

The pizza's are exceptional.
Excellent fresh produce, thin base, generous sizes....perfection.
Loving the new menu that still features classic favourites and introduces fabolous new dishes.

The staff is outstanding, friendly and extremely knowledgeable.

Appreciate being able to take my dog who lives it there and is made super welcome.

We ate Spaghetti, it is delicious, we've had it previously. Garlic bread was a delicious soft bread, included melted cheese. Cappuccino had creamy froth on top. It's a definite dinner date for us. We'll do it again. Others near us had Lamb, and were very happy with their meal.

Amazing food! Quick service and had food within 10-12 minutes of sitting down. This cafe has cool, breezy beach vibes, perfect place to visit to start your day when travelling in Cairns

Ozmosis provided excellent service with respectful and helpful staff. For lunch I had the Ruben sandwich which was a meticulously crafted sandwich. The bread was well toasted and crunchy, beef was soft and rich tied together with the mustard to cut through the richness and the sauerkraut was excellent. The chef demonstrates a mastery over their craft to accompany the excellent FOH service. My new favourite spot.

Lively atmosphere and beautifully set up ! Fantastic place for breakfast; tables available for small & larger groups. Delicious food and great coffee ☕
Food came out fast !

Excellent pizza (Buffalo mozzarella cheese was out of this world) and duck ragout pasta.
Indifferent service and the bill was way out (but corrected).

Updated in 2024. Rating went from 4 >> 5. Possibly the best pasta I've ever had: Lauren’s Cena.
Service was much better this time.
