A great place for jogging and walking with dogs. There are many tables and chairs. A good place for picnic and relaxing. A good size of playground for kids. The park is quiet during the weekdays and weekends are usually busy with birthday party and gathering.

I can't believe I've always missed the Heritage Park, but I suppose it is tucked away somewhat.
I happened upon it on one of my rides and knew my girls would love it, I headed home and got them for a little adventure. Sure enough, they loved the playground (zip line is always an easy win😉), and the path around the park was really interesting with all the facts about the Park's origins. I was just as interested as my little girls.
It's great how there are ample shaded picnic tables, and even a shaded slippery-dip (those metallic slippery-dips can get really hot in the sun). I think next time I'll bring lunch and some more drink so we can do more walking 🙂

I went to the park with some colleagues to play Laser tag for our Christmas Party. The park was amazing! It had wide open grassy spaces where kids could run around and a nice space with trees we used for cover in Laser Tag. The equipment in the playground was really fun and diverse including a flying fox! The picnic tables were well shaded and protected us from the rain when it bucketed down. There was adequate space for large gatherings of people to all sit together and still plenty of space for others to enjoy. A BBQ area was there though we didnt use it since we just ordered pizza. Bins were easily located and restrooms were nearby.

A beautiful big parkland carved out with very tall trees and big hills. Huge open greenfields and a new playground for the kids.
Some big Huts and plenty of barbecue spots.

Only downside was the parking. EXTREMELY BUSY

But very happy to discover this beautiful place, It has a very pleasant atmosphere, everyone was out picnicking and catching up with family and friends.

Thoroughly enjoyed walking around the whole park with the family (2 prams) also no problem

Nice well kept park . Had bbq there with friends. Lots of people were doing their evening walks.
Unfortunately there was no bin or tap near the bbq area so make sure you take garbage bags and plenty of water

Beautiful place to explore. It has a great play area for kids. The only issue is with walking trails which are not suitable for pram and wheelchair.

It was a happy, fun, and beautiful day in this Castle Hill Heritage Park.

It is not a huge park but spacious enough for some families to get relaxed, enjoying, and recreated during weekends.

Definitely recommended!

Great place for a quick walk with amazingly maintained playgrounds and dog park. Can see a lot of kids play in basketball court, closed cricket practice course, tennis, running track and so on. Good place to spend your evening in a calm and serene manner.

It’s a great place for family gatherings and picnics. From the upper hills you can see a great view.
If you enjoy running for exercise it’s good for it as well.

Excellent place with a lot of local history. Large open spaces and new awesome playground and BBQ facilities . It was the site of the first rebellion in Australia. It was also a government farm, Australia's first asylum. And church and local school.

Short history below.

Castle Hill Heritage Park, located off Banks Road in Castle Hill, is a nationally significant site being one of the earliest and potentially least known Government Farms dating back to 1801. The farm was the staging point for the first-ever convict rebellion on Australian soil in 1804.
The park has been refurbished at a cost of more than $3.4 million. The new-look park was officially opened by Her Excellency Prof Marie Bashir, Governor of New South Wales, in March 2004 and features excellent interpretative signage on the colourful history of this park.

A large 20 hectare park with various circular walking routes allowing one to find a quite spot in the sometimes busy park. There are various access points to the park but the facilities and play area are located near the main entrance and parking. The play area is big and has a flying fox not found in nearby play areas. My family normally goes for a walk around the perimeter of the park, allowing time to just listen and then let my son play at the large play area. We have been lucky a few week ends with a coffee van being parked near the main facilities.
