Danthai Kitchen and Bar (by Northern Thai)

Stir fried soft shell crab with vegetables in curry sauce was our favourite. Lucky duck was also tasty. If you like spicy salad, papaya vegetable salad is a good choice. Staffs were friendly and helpful.

Great food, excellent customer service. Been going there for years with my family and we always have extra food for the next day. Portion sizes are great and the owners are very friendly

Superb. Easy to overlook but once you have tried it, what can I say that can do this restaurant justice , we travel nearly an hour for the fresh tasty and well presented food, served by beautiful friendly staff who have a passipn for Thailand and its cuisine. I would highly recommend the "superb chicken" on the specials menu along with the coconut curry prawns(served in a coconut. See pics .

Legit! Thw flavours and aromatics were brilliant! Green curry was spot on for flavour and the friendly service was excellent. Highly recommend

Great tasting fried rice and pad thai

Very delicious. Would come again. What i like best of the thing i got were : beef pad thai, chicken thai curry and coconut rice.

Didn’t like the fish cake though but that may be just personal preference.

Great meal. Had the green curry, stir fried veg and jungle curry. All great!

Beautiful food, lovely little restaurant and great atmosphere

Wow, do you remember the first time you had truly amazing Thai, at home or abroad? That feeling of true foodie happiness. These guys are fantastic, I made a huge mistake, I thought the duck would be a small portion, was I wrong. Mixed entree was perfect, coconut rice perfect consistency. I think the best compliment from a true carnivore!!!!! I ate all the vegetables first. Can't rate these guys high enough, better than 5 star's

We ordered take away and the food was fabulous . Portion sizes were great and the taste was authentic. Will definitely be making this our local Thai from now on. Lots of people eating outdoors so will try eating in next time.

Northern Thai has recently had a name change so don't be confused if you see the name as Dan Thai on the building.
It's part of a suburban restaurant precinct so would be great for a relaxed evening out either as a duo or a small group. The night that we went, we arrived early evening with friends from overseas and things started off quietly enough but quite quickly became really busy as many of the locals started walking in so obviously they know something ! We did the put the dishes in the middle and share thing.. everything we had was great - fresh and yum. Service was prompt and friendly and if you're a fan of Thai food you won't be disappointed. Prices were very reasonable and the portion sizes were generous enough for us to take two takeaway containers of leftovers.

A charming restaurant with indoor outdoor seating. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful. I'm vegetarian and she recommended their red curry with prawns - it was absolutely delicious! Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals and the fact that they're also BYO is a bonus! Happily recommend.

Our first time here. It's an unassuming place, with minimal signage. We almost walked past it.

We ordered a pad Thai and a pad see ew, standard dishes that we've found that, if a Thai place can get right, you can count on the rest of the food being great.

Well both dishes were fantastic - great flavour, wok hei on the ingredients, good portions.

We will be back.
