I don't want to give away this amazing local secret but this is the best mechanic you'll ever find. Price is extremely good value, the service is thorough and rapid, and they're a hardworking awesome crew.

I was about to give up on my car and sell it because there’s been numerous problems and it wouldn’t drive well at all. Excellent service - highly recommended. John French looked after my Subaru WRX STi exclusively and flawlessly for almost 4 years. This included pre purchase inspection, routine servicing, and installation of aftermarket parts. Always able to get everything sorted, great old-school style service and good value for quality work. Never a single issue with the car under their stewardship. Always honest and keep you updated with progress and respond to your enquiries. The team here are awesome. My car is nothing special, but they treat it as if it were. I had a breakdown on a rainy Friday evening and got my car towed to their car park. The owner (or manager?) came over after hours as he could see it from where he was having dinner and opened up the shop and pushed the car in. Always thought that was pretty great

Absolutely flawless service and team!

Coming from a small town and being used the whole "family friend mechanic" feel I was concerned about getting emotionless drones but the team at John French were incredible!

They helped me out with everything I needed as quick as possible and at a competitive price, even threw in some free follow up work to make sure everything was fine.

On top of the job they had to do the team went a step further and checked for potential problems in the future, gave me some timelines and even advice on things I could do myself (being fairly handy) and how to go about doing it.

All in all I couldn't put into words how ecstatic I was with the whole process. Thanks Guys!

Been using John French for just over a year now, and couldn't rate them more highly. Friendly, knowledgeable and always letting you know what's going on with the car, what any issues are, and what might be a problem in the future. Always willing to go the extra mile, including restoring my yellowing headlights to their former glory without me even asking or mentioning a thing, and I only noticed a few days after the service. Bloody legends.

John French Motors are by far some of the the best mechanics I have met. Their knowlege of Subaru vehicles is second to none. You can be sure meticulous detail is followed when servicing and modifying, from the large, right down to the smallest of details. I had a missing fuel cap lever, they noticed and replaced it without prompting! If you have a Subaru, you should only go to John French.

Cheaper than a Subaru dealership, but that's not why I come here. I will soon begin servicing my 4th Subaru with JFM because of the quality of their work. I would gladly pay above dealership rates to know someone who genuinely cares about our cars is working on them, and I feel that's exactly what I get.

The number of times they have gone to the Nth degree to get something right for me is what keeps me coming back, and back, and back. Brilliant work guys and girls, keep it up!

PS, I once lost a carton of beer to these guys because I bet them they couldn't fix a very slight pulling to the left issue we had in my wifes Liberty 3.0r Spec B. We had already taken the car (previous to discovering JFM) to 3 different mechanics (one being a Subaru Dealership), and 2 different wheel and tyre places to get it sorted. Guess who coughed up a case :D

The team at John French Motors are fantastic. they are very knowledgeable, and always use the best parts available! I always know my car is in good hands when I drop it off. A++

Brilliant old school mechanics who only fix or replace what needs to be fixed or replaced (unlike a dealership that will do any work they can regardless of the km on the car). Would not take my Subaru anywhere else.
