Fourth Floor Surgery-Dr. Simon Journeaux

This man has given my life back. I remember he said it was the worse hip he’s seen for a 40 yr old man. It’s now 18 yrs down the track and 59 yrs young and enjoying life. Thank you so much . Now the other hip is wearing thin so I’ll visit again soon but my quality of life has not waned with this next challenge in life . To all the negative reviews, stand on 1 leg for 1 minute and be grateful you have 2. There is more to life that picking your nose with the same hand.

Simon stepped in to fix my extremely complex tibial plateau fracture. I was turned down by the Bronco's man! My leg healed beautifully. The bone grafts into my knee also. The metalwork was removed after 8 months due to discomfort. The prognosis for the knee was 2 years at best. I'm now 11 years down the road and it's still working fine. Five stars in every respect!

I’ve been seeing Simon since I was 15, he did my hip replacement at 20, I’m now 35 and he has helped me so much over the last 20 years.

Dr.Simon Journeaux is a very a proffesional & caring surgeon at the Mater Hospital and has his own private practice as well. Always ready to help and provide assistance to those in need. Very thorough in his medical knowledge and would regard as an expert in his field. Have recommended him many times.

Just don't go there. In reality he cares about everything but patient's needs. As an examiner working for TAC he simply provided very inaccurate and biased report towards TAC interest. The only thing he managed to do with all the problems I have mentally and physically
was stopping my income support from TAC in this tough time. I would never do this to a disable who has already suffered a lot and now has to deal with financial problems too only because I make money working for TAC. Now I know the only intention of sending me to see this doctor was stopping my payment rather than providing a rehabilitation or certain treatment plan to get me out of this misery. I was such a naive to believe that this doctor is going to help me at last after seeing few doctors unfortunately with the same characteristics. From experience it is very tricky to find an orthopaedic you can rely on in terms of knowledge or character.

This is the most disgusting & degrading treatment I've had with a surgeon.
I was told by him, (at the Mater Hospital) that as a person on a disability pension I wasn't a priority for knee replacement surgery as I would be if I was employed.
(Not entitled to the same quality of life as someone that hasn't had an unfortunate accident).
Left feeling like a second class citizen from his discriminatory attitude. The unfortunate thing is as is always the way the wealthy like him get away with their poor behaviour.
I'm surprised not to see more negative ratings.
