Boatshed

So happy to stumble across the Boatshed on our mission for great beer and food for our Sunday sesh! Absolutely loved the $10 sharing menu and $6 beer specials accompanied with one of the best views of the water in Cairns. Staff were really nice and although we didn’t have a reservation the manager was able to squeeze us in and then upgrade us to a bigger table when our friends wanted to meet us. Will definitely be back!

Outstanding food. We had the seafood linguine for 2 with lobster. They got it right. Beautiful combination of flavours Just the right amount of chilli. Plenty of quality seafood. Thanks Matthew for the attentive service which made our 26th anniversary.

Just dropped in here for a nice coffee after a long meander around Cairns.

Very nice location, faces the water, getting a nice cool breeze on a warm day.

Coffee was great.

And the spaces were very welcoming . Plenty of indoor and covered outdoor seating.

And staff were very friendly.

Had a lovely experience at this restaurant not long ago, our first time trying out oysters and we enjoyed them that much we ordered them again!

Super friendly service by a young little waitress called Susu, who made our experience exquisite!

Will definitely be returning and exploring the rest of the menu!

Outstanding customer service, great food and reasonable priced. Great atmosphere too.
The place is nice and the staff really friendly.
We enjoyed some drinks, ask to the Bar tender for the specials. The bar is located close to Cairns Marlon marina, it’s good area for walk and stop for a drinks. We sit outside and enjoyed nice view.
I recommend the Boatshed bar/restaurant.

Lunch was lovely we all enjoyed our meals. The staff were friendly, cheerful and nothing too much trouble. Would definitely recommend.

We came here for happy hour and ended up getting some munchies/tapas, very pleasantly pleased I must say! Sad we didn’t get time to come back again for one last hurrah during our stay in Cairns! Really nice place to sit and chill by the waterfront.

Lovely food and drinks here, I was worried when I see some of the reviews here the food was not great but it doesn’t seem right. The food was very good. The only thing that could be improved would be their service... The waitress won’t ask if u want dessert or not after cleaning up ur table.... wait until u asked.

For the bill, the waitress just asked u to go to pay at the till....not sure is it because I am Asian... that waitress just treated the other western differently.... if u are Asian and u would prefer having good service, don’t go here. If you don’t mind, then here would be one of your good choices to have good food.

The five stars was only be given because of their food!!!

This was my second visit and enjoyed it just as much as the first. Great value lunch, $35 for 2 courses including a drink. Lots of choices. Lovely staff providing good service.

The staff were great, thoughtful and courteous.. the food was good and the 3 course lunch special for $35 including a beer, wine or juice, was very much enjoyable for our anerversery.

Went and had a late lunch/early dinner with a friend after work and it was such a lovely experience getting to sit by the water front and enjoy a nice meal and delightful company.

There is some quality food to choose from on the menu and the pastas really are delicious!
The drinks menu is full of so many lovely things it made it difficult to choose but having the choices between fresh cocktails or fine wine and spirits is always refreshing.

All round the experience was a really enjoyable one all the staff are really friendly and were very hospitable which is something you look for when dining on the water front.

10/10 will be back !

Had the $35 3 course lunch deal and enjoyed their $1.50 oysters. Food was amazing, service was flawless. Absolutely loved it. Nice location. Will be coming back for sure!

Wow! The best happy hour I’ve had anywhere on this planet! Calamari cooked to perfection. Soft crab excellent. Perfectly cooked scallops. Ridiculous cheap prices. Five dollars for a glass of very quaffable wine. Stunning view; don’t know what more you could asked for.

Amazing food, staff were accommodating to us as walk-ins. Would definitely go back again.

Extraordinary restaurant. We were a big group without booking reservation
and the staff was always ready to help, the premises are extremely clean, the atmosphere is lovely, and the food is both delicious and beautifully presented.
Eye fillet,salmon and pork ribs my favourite I truly recommend this restaurant.

Was delicious food.
From squid to porkbelly.
And barramundi ⁰. Mouth watering.
Was great meal on finish of a long day

Gorgeous place to enjoy a snack and a drink. Only downside was I ordered a glass of champagne and was instead served a $6 glass of sparkling wine.
Would be a regular here if I lived closer

Visited 14 months later- service has improved, was served champagne when I asked for it and the view is just as stunning 👌

Absolutely love the 10 dollar share platter deals. Tried the scallop and soft shell crabs. No regret ordering those. And also .. 5 DOLLARS FOR HENEIKEN during happy hour. What a deal!

The food is fresh and delicious. The staff are super attentive and the location is stunning. Will recommend to all our friends and visit again
