Piato Cairns Restaurant

5 out of 5 for everything. top notch service and food quality is second to none. waiter was very impressed two of us managed to finished the whole Banquet since it is of significant quantity, most people can't do it. It's hard to stop eating when the food is good. I will definitely return even if I am not hungry.

I had been to Piato twice before and loved the food ,the staff and the atmosphere so I suggested to my friend that we should go. My friend hadn't been before and she loved the food and will definitely bring her husband next time. The lamb was so tender it melts in your mouth .

We enjoy Mediterranean food as a rule and Piato was exceptional. We did the Piato banquet . The portion of food was fantastically overwhelming. The spinach pie was actually creamy inside which was different and welcomed. The saganaki cheese was fried just right and so deep with taste we could have eaten just that. The trout was excellent and even the side salad with feta and tomatoes seemed better than typical salad. The lamb rump was cooked medium rare and had their own signature. If only I was 23 again so I could eat it all. Our spanish server was so friendly and personable. He regaled us with his story of reaching Australia for a better life from Sicily. Hearing about a young man reaching for the stars and fighting for the right to them warmed my heart. Go out of your way for this one.

If we could and had time, we’d be back nightly it was just amazing.
We didn’t have a reservation, it was no issue. The staff were lovely.

The table service is impeccable. You are a patron of the restaurant, not just a cover.
The food is amazing a feels like a kiss on both cheeks and a warm hug from your Nonna.

Everything is well balanced, flavoursome, lovingly plated, a pleasure to the eyes and perfectly seasoned.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here in Cairns. Our waiter was an incredibly warm and gentle man, which added to the experience.

The best meal ive had in cairns. Great customer service. We had lunch special ($20) spaghetti and fish and chips. Lunch special included a drink(wine or soft drink) Prawn was perfectly blended with the pesto. Chips is top notch. Great atmosphere with port view. Recommended

Located at the Pier centre , Piato serves tasty quality food with some of the best views in Cairns.

🐠 Fish of the day : saddle tail snapper served with broccolini, spring onion mash & the best lemon butter sauce I ever had ❤

Decadent Baklava served with vanilla ice cream and delicious white chocolate crumbs

We honestly loved everything we had , every dish was presented beautifully, cooked perfectly with care and love 💕 and most importantly keeping the authenticity of Mediterranean cuisine 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

Great place to eat when it's raining. Air conditioned inside. Staff atentive. Food lovely. Cheap lunch offer, with no sign of it being to a lower standard. We enjoyed being here.

This is one of several restaurants along the promenade. This one however unlike some, cares about its patrons and the food that it serves. Here you won't be slugged a fee for paying by card. Be careful along the promenade as some have higher than normal prices yet still charge you a surcharge for paying by card. Avoid those that do, ask before you enter, here though no such sneaky fees. Thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and the wine. Fantastic all round.

So glad we made the choice to stop here to enjoy a casual dining experience along the pier. We were greeted on arrival and then enjoyed friendly service throughout the meal.
Drinks were reasonably priced and the meals cooked to perfection. We ordered mussels and the duck to share. Excellent selection of food and service.

First rate food and lovely friendly staff. Cool location with an amazing view and a nice breeze. I recommend this restaurant.

This was a last minute family lunch! The atmosphere was lovely along the pier. We were greeted by friendly staff. We ordered the award winning seafood platter, arancini balls, steak with garlic butter & fish n chips. All were lovely to eat.

They have a great range of lunch specials as well.

It's the sea food lunch experience I was looking for in Cairns, couldn't fault if.

The drinks and food came out very quickly, though we were last call. Came hot, and didn't cool down throughout the meal. Drinks and food were both tasty and very large portions (lamb, garlic bread, and gnocchi), which were more than enough for two people.

The waiters and waitresses were very attentive and came by several times to make sure we were all set.

The waiter also got into a conversation about wine with us and after discussing our preferences, we ordered a glass which was perfect for our tastes. Much recommended.

We had an amazing lunch with my partner at Piato. It started with a very nice service from the foh team.
We went for the lunch specials and it was delicious (Salad and fish). The desert was a must as well.
We loved our moment there and we will definitely come back to try something else.

Had the pleasure of meeting Vivek - the owner and the wonderful staff. Very warm and welcoming. The food was excellent. I live in cairns and this is my go to restaurant. Never disappoints.

Definitely the place to visit. The food was exceptional, the service was matching and the atmosphere was superb. The views were just the best. On a warm day there's a nice breeze and it's so refreshing.
The coral trout was one of the best fish dishes I've eaten, the other dishes our party looked great and they said they really enjoyed them too. The whole experience was definitely worth the full 5 stars.

I was so happy that we ended up at this amazing restaurant for our last dinner on holiday. Our last night in Cairns was incredible the staff was so friendly, attentive and overall best customer service. The owner is such a nice and welcoming person.

Now to the food review OMG the food was fantastic the seafood platter was awsome and so fresh and the steak was cooked to perfection. My husband had the beef cheeks which were incredibly tender.

We finished of the night with the creamiest creme brule, coffee and a complimentary ouzo.

Thank you Piato team for making our last night a night to remember and we can't wait to come back again soon. I would definitely recommend 👌
