Bavarian Beerhouse

We love this place. The food is simply DELICIOUS and the service extremely good. We dined there twice during our stay and we had our dog with us. Every time the table was reserved for us and the dog bowl with water was ready for our dog. You need to order and pay at the bar and the food is delivered to your table. The portions are very generous and the food is full of many different flavours. We had wild barramundi and schnitzel.
Highly recommended! You need to go there and try for yourself. Now it is our favourite restaurant in Cairns.

Best venue in cairns !! Authentic German food and beer, good vibes and great place to have a meal with friends. Very large portions - especially the Shnitzels and Pork knuckle. Staff are all wonderful

The Germans have never been known to be an overly expressive nation, preferring accuracy and excellence over most other things. Now whilst this place looked quite plain and the interior decorator they used must have subscribed to the cheap and nasty look. BUT don't let the appearance of this rather understated looking establishment fool you. It is stocked with authentic Germanic beers on tap and served in the traditional beer mugs, so if you can't handle at least half a litre dont bother ordering a beer. I tried about 4 different types and left feeling quite jolly.
The staff were friendly and polite and despite the dubious presentation, my Wood Fired Kransky with mash and ju was simply scrumptious. Full of flavour and taste. The fish and chips for my GF was fresh and tasty as well. Very very reasonable prices and a complete surprise package. Very much a case of "Dont judge a book you its cover". Would return again next time im in Cairns.

Esplanade is a great location, atmosphere is buzzing and energetic. Always a good crowd. Staff are friendly and helpful. Basti has an incredible knowledge of German culture and hospitality. The Bavarian is good for a beer and a home style feed. Munich Gold beer, with a pretzel and a pork knuckle..... highly recommend!

Excellent beer, good Bavarian style food. Food came out quickly too.
Wait for beer took a while on Monday took a while due to only one staff member behind the bar- nothing bad, just enough to notice.

The food was fantastic. Young man that was our waiter was very helpful. My knee was killing me so he got everything delivered to us, took our orders and was very friendly. My husband likes his schnitzel a little thicker but enjoyed it with a mushroom sauce. Ordered a small cider and that was lucky as it was quite big. Beautiful day sitting outside at clean tables 🍺

Big beers, good beers. Staff were awesome and happy to have a chat.
Location is fantastic, haven't tried the food in years so can't comment on that but the beers are top notch.

Had visited this place a few times while in Cains recently. It’s an awesome atmosphere and the owner Frank was truely welcoming and friendly along with his staff. Thank you so much for such a great experience. Customer service was 110%plus.
Would certainly come back next time.

Five stars for the best bloody hot chicken wings in town and happy hours jug for weekend relaxation. They have two happy hour sessions to make you happy (5pm-7pm and 10pm-12am). The view is pretty great too!

Incredible, the food is delicious and the portions are insanely large. Great service also, the owner personally ensures you are well looked after.
