Scotsman's Fish + Chips + Burgers

Just enjoyed the most amazing fish, chips and calamari of my life!! Feeling so light and satisfied, which is never usually the case after fish and chips elsewhere!! Batter was light and crisp, and service so efficient and the environment notably clean!!
Our go to now!!! Job well done!

Ive been back numerous times since my review. The food has been absolutely beautiful & on point. The flake is bigger, or you've popped an extra piece in.
I could live on the flake!

Chips and gravy are awesome here. You can tell they change their oil regularly. Chips are crisp and gravy tastes classic!

I’m from Scotland. Fish and chips in Australia is terrible. I’ve tried like 8/9 places.

However. This place is brilliant. Finally found somewhere that resonates being back home.

Don’t listen to these 1 star 🔔🔚‘s. It’s expensive because it’s good. The delivery / service takes time, because their busy, because their good!! This is the best fish and chips in Cairns. No question.

Best onion rings and potato cakes in Cairns

Professional business with friendly staff and great service . I drive the extra distance for their delicious fish and chips cooked to perfection. Love The Scotsmans and happily recommend .

The staff are friendly and you certainly get your moneys worth. My daughter wanted a piece of Mackerel and chips and she could not finish it as the fish was a decent sized piece.

There are not too many fish and chips places that impress me and this is definitely at the top of my list.

They are available on UbeEats and you can call ahead and pick up your order. Saves you waiting when it is busy :)

First time Today 2 SEP 17.
Hamburger with the Lot, assembled really well and tasted Great. The only improvement would be to use homemade patties, however, still an Excellent Burger.
Also order the minimum Chips with Chicken Salt. The Serving size was very good, and they were cooked great, plenty of crispy crunchy ones. Probably the best chips I've had in ages.
All the other products looked very fresh, with friendly service.
Very Satisfied and definitely a returning customer.

The best chunky chips in Cairns with the OG chicken salt. I pass two other fish and chips shops to specifically go to flying Scotsman. Never disappoint. Always happy with my feed.

Best Spanish mackerel fish and best fish batter in Cairns that’s crunchy and creamy, great chips that are crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and friendly staff. Im addicted to their fish n chips !

Great traditional Scottish fare. Although I notice the Haggis, black pudding off the menu. Definatley an acquired taste for the untrained pallet. Top notch fish n chips. Gravy is yum! Good size portions too.

Burger were very good, and chips were remarkably good-crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and well salted. Staff polite, very happy overall.

Spot on best fish and chip anywhere

Nice range of fish and chips which aren't available down south. Always nicely cooked and the batter is nicely weighted and always crispy.

There's other seafood options but I can't go past the fish.

I Jamie in Scotsman's fish and chip shop and got 4 seafood sticks crumbed and three squid rings and they were cooked to perfection. And all the staff are really nice and very helpful keep up the good work.

Love the fish but THE CHIPS... OMG... THE BEST CHIPS WITH CHICKEN SALT IN CAIRNS!! These people are always friendly and fast. I live in Mooroobool but will happily pick up hot chips from Flying Scotsman any day! And when I'm feeling a little fancy I'll add on their amazing gravy too 😂 Also the best chips for chip sandwiches!!
