Mayhem At Machans

One of our weekend favourites. Always great food and one of the best places for coffee in Cairns. Consistent, quality food, imaginative dishes, great service and very much 'Machans'. Our dogs love it too, and are always welcomed!

Location is great…. so close to the ocean and only a small detour from the hwy making it brilliantly accessible for passers by, whether going to work or heading to town for shopping.. well worth stopping and checking this place out !!

Brilliant little neighbourhood spot. Simple but beautifully made food. Great coffee. Extremely reasonable prices. Cozy atmosphere enhanced by the amazing staff. Best eggs Benny in Cairns. What more do you want?

I highly recommend this place, as it is famous among the locals and offers great coffee and a must-try burger. Although it is a bit far from Cairns city, it is definitely worth visiting for a brunch or morning coffee. It is conveniently located close to the Machans beach.

We stopped to this place for breakfast on a Sunday morning. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu has a nice range of options (breakfast and lunch) as well as a variety of drinks (smoothies, fresh juices, coffee, etc). We went for breakfast but I ended up getting lunch. We were not disappointed! The owner and staff were friendly and the meal were great (presentation and taste). Prices are also reasonable. If we were actually from the area we would def come back.

Great little Cafe, short walk from the water. The menu is a bit of everything and there are usually a special or 2 on the board. Dogs allowed outside & water bowls are provided.

Mayhem. At. Machans. Beach. No mayhem really, just a charming, 'coastal shabby' style of cafe near the waterfront. Our table's selection of various breakfast burgers was accompanied by decent hot coffee and cool drinks. It's a casual place, where service comes with a smile and everything went down a treat. It'll do alright. The part-time vegan in the group ordered, and now recommends the Veggie Patch Burger with chips, while the others' choices, a tasty Benedict Burger and a yum Bacon & Egg Burger, were each enjoyed equally as much. Liked it. #mayhematmachans
