Sogno Italiano is quite an amazing Italian restaurant with a variety of authentic and modern takes on classic Italian cuisine. Napolitana style pizza here is absolutely amazing, super fresh ingredients on a well crafted pizza dough for that beautiful airy crispy crunchy base. Really delicious starters and amazing mains and pasta dishes. Freshly made and again top quality ingredients
The service is friendly even when absolutely pumping with diners. The venue is tight and a little awkward. However, it somewhat gives the place that authentic feel of a European restaurant where diners are cramped into a small space to enjoy the ultimate experience of authentic food. Best pizzas in Gold Coast and possibly better than anywhere we have tried in Australia and even Italy. Contender for 1st place with the little restaurant we went to in Genoa. Staff very friendly and attentive. Very nice atmosphere, music and setting. Staff cleaning and keeping place clean. All round nice!

During a recent stay at a hotel across the road, we embarked on a culinary adventure and were delighted to discover this charming Italian restaurant. From the warm welcome to the final sip of wine, the entire experience was exceptional, compelling me to share our delightful dining journey.

Our evening commenced with the garlic focaccia, a dish that, in its simplicity, often speaks volumes about an Italian restaurant's quality. It exceeded our expectations—crispy on the edges, soft and fluffy inside, with a perfect touch of garlic. Accompanied by olive oil and balsamic vinegar upon request, the restaurant's willingness to accommodate our preferences added a personalized touch to our dining experience.

For our mains, we indulged in a feast for the senses. The Spaghetti Pescatore was a treasure trove of seafood, with perfectly al dente pasta nestled in a savoury tomato sauce, teeming with salmon, calamari, mussels, prawns, clams, and cherry tomatoes. The addition of white wine, basil, and parsley elevated each bite to a celebration of the sea's bounty.

Equally impressive was the Linguini Granchio, a sophisticated dish highlighting the delicate sweetness of blue swimmer crab, complemented by zucchini, cherry tomatoes, chili, basil, and extra virgin olive oil. The crab's flavour was masterfully balanced with the freshness of the zucchini and the gentle warmth of the chilli, resulting in a dish that was both comforting and refined.

To complement our meal, we chose a bottle of white wine. Despite our first choice being unavailable, the staff's knowledgeable recommendation turned out to be a delightful discovery. Although slightly more expensive, the wine was exceptional, enhancing our dining experience so much that we took a photo of the bottle for future reference.

The ambience of the restaurant was unmistakably local and full of life, with a mix of groups and couples creating a buzzing dining scene. It was evident that the restaurant is a favourite among locals, adding an authentic and inviting atmosphere to our meal. The service was attentive without being intrusive, reflecting the staff's passion for their work and making us feel both welcomed and valued.

As much as we enjoyed our meals and were tempted by the restaurant's dessert offerings, we opted to explore further by visiting the gelato shop located just beside the restaurant. This decision was a nod to our desire to experience the local dining culture in its entirety.

In conclusion, our dinner at this Italian restaurant was a standout experience of our stay. With its exceptional food, accommodating service, and lively local atmosphere, it was a dining adventure that went beyond mere satisfaction. Whether you're a hotel guest seeking a convenient dining option or a local enthusiast of authentic Italian cuisine, this restaurant, along with the neighbouring gelato shop, is a destination worth visiting.

The Food was amazing! My partner is a pizza afficionado and she enjoyed every slice! We even went there the next day for dinner. She ordered the same pizza but I changed my pasta choice. Definitely worth the visit.

Good service and delicious food. Garlic prawn was the best. Pasta was better. Cocktails and mocktails were also delicious. If it's closer to us, we would come more often. Overall pretty good 😊

We been to a lot of Italian restaurants, and this is among one of the best we've been to in a long time. Great service, polite and prompt wait staff, reasonable prices with adequate portions, the restaurant is beautiful, clean and well presented.

We started with the Garlic and chilli prawns and the calamari . We then had the Rissoto marinara, and the Rigatoni salsiccia. Both meals were perfect, the pasta was aldente', the cappricciosa pizza and the chicken pollo pizza were cooked to perfection and very juicy, the flavours of both were delicious, but not overpowering.
The best thing was they are BYO but have plenty of choices for Italian wines.

This is our regular Italian Restaurant from the first time we came and dine. Food is truly delicious, fresh and absolutely appetising. Service is impeccable and very friendly staff. They have opened at Burleigh which is exceptional beautiful with additional menus not available at Mermaid. BYO is good as well can always bring our fine and rare wines to pair and enjoy.

Very classic Italian entree, like the filling with provolone cheese, soooo yummy

【Fritto Misto】
similar like Spanish tapas which is deep fried mixed seafood with squid, fish, school prawn, go well with alcohol

【Panzanella con Burrata】
My favorite salad entree, the Burrata cheese is so good! Really tasty with the crostini, heirloom tomatoes and basil. Highly recommend

【Linguini Granchio 】
This is my first time try crab pasta, looks normal but taste rich, must try.

【Sogno】
Must be the Sogno signature pizza, very rich topping with plenty flavor, the potatoes and chili added are the highlights.

From the moment we walk in, they made us welcome like family. Absolutely beautiful service from the staff!

Take-away kids pizza for Easter and they created like a bunny! My child was stoked! The bruschetta was just beautiful!

Super tasty Italian food with great service to match. The arancini balls are a must have, as well as the chilli garlic prawns. The funghi gnocchi just melted in our mouths and the seafood pizza was made to perfection. We also had the burrata ravioli special and it was to die for. Will certainly be coming back again.

The pasta was a bit firm for my taste, but still very good. I would come back again.

What a place to dine in on beautifully crafted Italian food!!
The staff are lovely- always friendly and accommodating.
Last night was our third visit and its become our go-to Italian restaurant on the Gold Coast.
Up until now they've not served pizza as part of the menu, but I understand that this option will be added this Wednesday (22/02). If their pizzas are as good as the rest of their menu then we're in 100%.

10/10 Italian restaurant, I will definitely come back. Food was amazing and came out quick as well. I want to say a special thank you to that one waitress with blonde hair she was amazing.

Hidden gems that made my family holiday completed . The food was delightful and delicious, service was friendly especially the boss lady is very polite and helpful. We can’t wait to come back for the next holiday here and I’m looking forward to see they bring up pizza to their menu.

We had the best experience ever at Sogno Italiano. One of the best restaurants I've been to and definitely best Italian! The service was so attentive and fantastic. I cannot emphasise enough how wonderful the staff are at this restaurant. You all knocked it out the park. I'd come back for that alone.

The food was absolutely delicious. The bruschetta was so essential to have and delicious!! I've never had Cherry tomatoes that tasted so yummy and the olive oil that you used was delicious! I want a bottle of it for home! Send me your olive oil brand owner please! 😆

The pastas were the best. My family was so impressed with every dish [as was I]. My favourites were the pesto and the seafood risotto I personally had. Every piece of seafood was cooked perfectly in that dish. And the pesto was the best I've ever had also! I'll definitely be going back and getting the pesto n chicken next time. Maybe convince my friends to get the risotto so I can steal some 🤣
Somehow the risotto was also creamy without having cream? Charred Cherry tomato's add a nice fresh flavour in that too.

Finally, we had to try desserts because of how impressed we were. My mum loved the tiramisu. My favourite was the Pannacotta. The Berry sauce was delicious! I also want the recipe for that 😉. I would recommend this place to anyone and I will definitely be visiting this place again. It is worth every dollar.

Can’t give less, well deserved 5 stars. We had a antipasto platter with cheese, zucchini and eggplant that was delicious and after an amatriciana and funghi gnocchi, I don’t have words to describe it was amazing. My son love the kids pasta as well. Kids desert and panna cotta to finished our night. Special thank you to the Chef PJ 🙏🏼
