Cafe Catalina

First time going to Cafe Catalina. Atmosphere great plenty of parking, easy access for wheelchair access. Is dog friendly but not allowing your dog on your lap. My dog is human she never sits on the ground so if you wanting to take your dog to sit with you this is not the place for you. Did not stay long coffee hot, Quiche was delicious and staff friendly. Beach across the road over looking Broadwater. Could do with more tables outside. Maybe be back in the future 🙏

We usually pop in for coffee or breakfast. however, we decided on an afternoon cocktail on Saturday as we were passing by on our way to dinner, and we have no regrets! Fast, and friendly service. The new bar manager, Ant, asked our names, remembered them, and made some phenomenal cocktails. As I couldn't decide what I was having, he asked what I liked and threw something together. It was delicious (and pretty) 😍.

We love that the cafe is kid and pet friendly.

great food, great views of the Broadwater, staff were friendly and efficient. this venue is dog friendly too. a little pricey but if the food remains the quality it is, then its worth the money. happy hours with very nice cocktails.

For breakfast, I had the Eggs Benny, Soft Poached Eggs, Spinach, Sourdough, Hollandaise, and Bacon.

Stopped here for cocktails after big brekky! If you're looking for a bloody good Bloody Mary go no further, very impressed. I could have a few of them 🍸🍸🍸

Just wanted to share with everyone how awesome a night we had on Friday.
From the moment we walked in to this superb venue with its amazing location we were greeted by its manager Ant(a real professional) who together with his staff looked after every aspect of our evening!
Food was excellent, the prawn dumplings were so yummy we reordered another portion!
The Bar was exceptionally well stocked and the girls are still raving about their cocktails.
Add to this some great music being played
just completed the perfect night.
Thanks again to Ant and all his staff for making us feel spoiled!
Once again will recommend this venue to everyone.

Fabulous food and the dog was treated like one of the family. Try the king prawn and the scallop entrees they were delicious and the garlic Parmesan baguette was stunning. Staff are super friendly and quick to help out.

Amazing food and great staff with an absolutely beautiful view of the beach and water. I had lunch here with my Mum, partner and neices and enjoyed everything the staff are super friendly and accommodating and I love how it's super pet friendly! Only thing was the Ceaser salad came out abit chunky (lettuce wasn't cut up and bacon was in whole pieces) and really hard for my Mum to eat as she has arthritis in her hands other than that everything was amazing!

I stopped in for a late lunch with my dogs, by myself.
I was greeted with a very big genuine smile.
I was excited by the unique menu.
My lamb short ribs were sooo good.
It's a Lil pricey but worth it.
I've thought it very sweet that every staff member whose walked passed us, has greeted my pets with love.
It took me 1.5 hours to get here today but I'll do it again next week, maybe tomo 😅

Had breakfast here on Sunday and was pleasantly surprise by the ambiance right on the Broadwater the quality of the food we ate and the service. If you are in the area if might be worth a look in .

A great find, that’s if you can find it.

Located behind the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre in Southport, It’s one of those restaurants that you wouldn’t know not unless you’ve been there. Which is unfortunate because the food is great, the venue is large with varied seating, and it has water views. Tick, Tick Tick. The service is extremely friendly and professional as well. The company I work for had our Christmas Party there a few years back. The service and set up was great back then (this is how I found out about it).

The only downside that I can see is it’s a little pricey. They don’t have many, if any, entrees under $20. My steak sandwich was $28. It was good, but $28 good? Probably not. Although it may have the most expensive kids menu I’ve seen, the kids we were with were delighted by the generous serving (in our case Spaghetti Bologna’s), a drink comes included, and ice cream for dessert, which comes in a big parfait cup. The kids were gushing over it.
This is not your burger and chicken fingers price point restaurant. At least not on weekends.

As far as I know there’s not any signage seen from the Gold Coast highway directing people to it. There is parking but it all seems to be paid.

Check it out. You won’t regret it.

Fantastic position with great staff. The food (Eggs Benny with Mushrooms & Brekky Burger) was excellent too! Bring your dog inside as well for the leftovers- very large servings.

OMG I wish we discovered Cafe Catalina earlier in our holidays. Food was amazing, service was amazing and the view was great. Do yourself a favour and try the hash browns they were delish. Well done on creating a great place to dine. We will definitely be back on our next holiday 🤩.

First time and was totally impressed! Salsa music, dancing, friendly staff in particular Ant behind the bar asked our names, remembered them when we came back to the bar and also remembered what cocktails we had ordered!! Definitely will be back!

Love this place. Described by the Mrs as "the best bacon on the Gold Coast", this place has some delicious meals for a pretty reasonable price. Large covered deck seating area where you fur baby can join you for breakfast providing they are on a lead. Their breakfast menu could use a few more sweet items, maybe some pancakes or French toast? Great place to sit and watch the boats on the Broadwater.

Beautiful food. Fantastic view. Funky decor. Extensive cocktail and wine list with Burleigh Brewing beers on tap. The meals are expensive but very nice, flavoursome and large portions. Views across Broadwater to spit and along coastline to lights of high rises.

Great meal, not too crowded which was surprising, a lovely waitress. All in all, a good spot!

Beautiful location and atmosphere. Lovely friendly staff and the menu offers a great selection of foods for all tastes. What better way to while away the afternoons.

The staff were all friendly, happy & helpful.
The food was delicious, plentiful & the presentation was amazing. The coffees were presented differently with a different design in each person’s froth. The Catalina cater for Vegetarians, which was appreciated. The champagne was cold, bubbly & the staff kept the remainder of the champagne in the bar fridge & topped-up our glasses without us needing to ask.
The view of the water is magnificent.
We spent a few hours there & we did not feel as though we had to eat & run, so to speak, because we were allowed to sit, eat, drink & chat with long time friends, who we hadn’t seen since prior to COVID-19.
The experience was fantastic……thank you Catalina & your magnificent staff 😊🥂
