Hype DC Penrith

Today I had been looking for shoes and every place I had been no one was there to help. When I entered Hype, I was immediately asked if I needed help by Frankie and he was an absolute sweetheart. He was very patient with me and helped me with trying on shoes, unfortunately none were in my size but that’s okay. Big thank you to Frankie for helping me. (P.s the moustache was really cool) 😂😂 Anyway thank you :)

This place is amazing, staff are so lovely, the blonde girl named 'jade' i think it was, BEAUTIFUL! And the dreadlock man was extremely helpful :)

Bought a pair of Converse sneakers expecting to pay same price I paid from the Converse site $130 delivered, not on sale. Hype’s price $140. No attempt to match the price or explain the difference. Yep I proceeded thinking they would. I know where not to shop nx time.

Walked in and waited 20mins before someone came out and still didn’t ask or served me. Where to keen on chatting up the girls that came in after me and helped them right away. Poor service Poor Form

Bought shoes worth 220 (Tommy) - wore them 10 times - the sole cracked. Took it to the staff who was clearly disinterested and unwilling to help from the get go. Said can't do anything before even I started, and clung to it. Really bad customer service and experience, not to miss a bad product. That's enough Hype for me for this life. Avoid Penrith (and also Blacktown) store like the plague.

I wouldn't even give a star rating to this store. Only bought a pair of Tigers for my son this morning and was told I could exchange them ANY time no problems. My son turned up to exchange on same day (simply for a different size) and was told he couldn't do it today as it was store policy and boxing day (well excuse me but it's not even boxing day). Disgusting service and totally against consumer rules. I did phone and argued with them and sent my son back to do the exchange. I would trust there be no further issues and will take this up with NSW fair trading.

Tried to return a faulty pair of shoes and was willing to accept the replacement of just the one shoe in question. No go! But, was told that Hype could instruct me on how to “on-sell” the shoes to someone else. The company policy must be taken straight out of a 1970s used car salesman’s play book. Classic.
