Food is great, the staff are so friendly and the cafe itself is in such a peaceful and picturesque setting.

This beautiful cafe was the highlight of our trip to the area - it’s definitely worth a short detour via Lindenow.
Service is so friendly and warm and genuinely welcoming. Tables out front are perfect- fresh air, shaded, and offer a view of green fields and of local life in this tiny hamlet. Lots of tables are available inside too.
The food menu is the star of the show - uniquely creative dishes which not only look gorgeous but are packed full of flavour.
And make sure you try one of the sensational sweet treats on display in the glass cabinets - you won’t regret it! Great coffee too.

From the moment our party of five adults and one child stepped into Long Paddock Lindenow, we knew we were in for a treat. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between elegance and comfort, making it an ideal spot for both family dinners and special occasions.

Each dish we ordered was prepared to perfection, showcasing the skill and attention to detail of the chefs. The highlight of our culinary journey was undoubtedly the strawberry cheesecake. This dessert was a masterpiece, balancing sweetness and tartness exquisitely, and it came highly recommended by our friendly and attentive server.

The staff deserves a special mention for their exceptional service. They were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable. The child-friendly environment made our little one feel welcome, adding to the overall positive experience.

This is not your average country cafe. The quality of the food is exceptional. The prices are reasonable for what you're getting, including an assortment of exceptional local wines.

I don’t really give reviews……..however.

The lunch that I was served yesterday was simply outstanding.
A delicious and subtle blue cheese tart with salads perfectly dressed, local Lightfoot rosé and a shared meringues with various ice cream dessert.
The preparation effort and skill was obvious. Well served in a timely and fuss free manner.
Sat outside on a beautiful day with the fantastic views to the North.
Just about the best lunch I’ve had in ages.
Well done all round.

It was worth the diversion to The Long Paddock. We really enjoyed our coffee and desserts.

We just decided to turn up, just a small town, won't be busy, how wrong could I be, offered outdoor dining, we accepted and what an experience, eggplant and jewelled rice (and other things) was excellent, my wife had melon, wagyu and other salad, sorry, can't remember it's name, also excellent, two ales from Sailors Grave.
Next time we will book and introduce some out of towners who visit us to what good food and service should be like.

Amazing food, great service. Definitely worth the side stop. Recommended by word of mouth otherwise would not know it was here.
Beef shin pie and asparagus/trout/potato salad.

A charming little cafe/restaurant just outside Bairnsdale whose modest exterior belies the exceptional culinary talent that lies within. The home-made pies are the best we've ever had with light and buttery pastry and a rotating selection of melt-in-the-mouth meats. The cakes are superb and you'd better visit with a few friends, as you'll never be able to choose just a couple.

I had a fantastic brunch here. Food was amazing and the staff was very friendly. Would recommend going out of your way to eat here. I will be back :)

Table for 5 - really nice food and a menu with variety to accommodate the tastes and needs of our party.

I went for the short rib risotto and the lemon bomb dessert both were excellent.

Reviewing the menu it's evident quality ingredients are used. Though scones should be served with clotted cream.

Delicious food all round but you definitely want to treat yourself to the yummy desserts, especially their counter treats 😋

Restaurant full of character, great staff. Amazing regional, seasonal meals. We had ham hock gnocci, beef shin pie and terrine. All beautiful as well as the frangipani pie. So hard to choose a dessert. Enticing cocktails.

Great service and fantastic food. Very well-priced (I can't remember any mains being over $30). This is my kind of restaurant - it is more about good produce done well than fancy techniques and fancy plating. I will definitely return. Hot smoked salmon soba salad pictured below.

Amazing unique breakfast experience in East Gippsland. This cafe seems to be the heart of the town. The kimchi pancake, baked eggs and scones were delicious and the view was beautiful.

Absolute gem in the middle of a country town called Lindenow. The meat pie I had was so good I nearly cried for joy. Best pie I've ever eaten. The choice of cakes was beautiful too.

Delightful and unexpected - 20 mins out of Bairnsdale in the heart of a wonderful horticultural area - Lindenow- lies this superb restaurant/cafe.
Great coffee, quirky but interesting breakfast menu - well executed and yummy. Now to find an excuse for a long lunch or dinner.
I did note it was fully booked on a weekday lunchtime so it’s style and reputation has spread.

We’re regulars at Longpaddock & can’t recommend it highly enough. Wonderful fresh, seasonal, unpretentious, delicious food. Consistently good with great service from a delightful, professional friendly staff. It has everything going for it - driven by a team who understand quality food well delivered.
Today we celebrated Gerry’s birthday & had one of the best meals we’ve ever had at Longpaddock - fresh, seasonal local produce beautifully executed. Yum!
We’ve just returned from a holiday in France. We thought of Longpaddock as we grazed in regional France & Paris because we kept thinking “This reminds us of Lindenow!” Today we think that while we travelled 1000s of klms to a country with an international reputation nothing we ate in France was any better than Longpaddock & it cost more! So add great value to the other accolades.
We are so lucky to have international excellence locally! Oh, & they surprised us today with a French champagne by the glass!
