Lapstone Hotel

I visit here about once a month to have lunch with a friend.
The only (minor) downside is the location and entrance. It is on a service road paralleling the highway and the entrance is from a large car park.

Having said that, there is no traffic noise and they have done a good job with the layout. Lots of seating inside and the pokies are out of sight in another room. The outside area has been prettied up with plants and is quite pleasant.

The food is good and serves are generous. It would be good if they had a couple more vegetarian options though as I always seem to order the same thing (vegetarian nachos). The coffee is excellent.

The reason I have given 5 stars not 4 is due to the staff. I have been here quite a few times and they have always been happy, helpful and friendly. Not in a fake American “enjoy” way, but in a smile-and-look-you-in-the-eye way. My friend sometimes asks for variations on his meal order and it’s never a problem for them. Having good staff makes a big difference.

Lovely old pub just up the mountains not too far to go from Penrith wonderful outdoor beer garden area and you can't get away from the massive screen showing footy, tennis, cricket, whatever you like. Beautiful meals come out of the bistro, we highly recommend the food, the varied and varying menu as do our friends who come up here all the time! Watch out Emu Hall 2773 and Laughin Boy!! These guys are GOOD!!

Staff always chill, helpful and friendly! Food is always soo good! Efficient, and very well priced! So glad it’s only 10 minutes away, knowing we can come here when I’m not bothered too cook, get an awesome meal without paying a fourtune!

The tuna special I had today was one of the best meals of my life … just my style I guess, however, it could have been a little better an experience if there was Mountain Culture on tap … it is the Blue Mountains … and it is one of the best beers in the world.

Great place for decent sized meals that arrive shortly after ordering. Reasonably priced food and drink, good location to catch up with friends or family as the music is never too loud.

Lovely warm atmosphere. Open fire. Great place for a beverage and a catch up.

The Lappo is a great, family-friendly pub; loved by locals. Service is good, meals are generously proportioned, and they've adopted the "order from the QR code" approach with an online menu and instant pay.

The food here is always great. $ are fairly average of the typical pub prices.

I have come to this place many times over the years and it is a nice place to sit with the family or with friends or even alone and have a drink, a social and a bite to eat. On this occasion I dropped in for lunch with my son and the meal was nice and the desert was yummy and really had a relaxing and tasty lunch on this occasion.

Love this pub! It is always a great option for lunch when going between Sydney and the upper Blue Mountains or the Central West. It's large and modern with an excellent bistro, great coffee, cold beer and very friendly staff.

Wonderful, wonderful experience. Lovely front of house worker took our order - I have particular dietary requirements and the chef took pains to fulfill my request, resulting in a beautiful meal that met my needs exactly. A gorgeous outdoor seating area, with heaters made it a fabulous eating out experience. I highly commend the staff for the concern, painstaking and cheerful effort to help me. I love this hotel!

Always a good meal here, friendly vibes ! Great place. I recommend the 400g steak, unlike other places this is 400g and its a monster!
