Ka-fey cafe

A damn fine personable cafe on Hunter Street Mall. If only the council would organise a more coherent business plan to entice more great businesses like this into the city?
Oh, did I mention the fantastic toasted cheese and tomato sandwich? And the pot of tea with tasty dessert?

Food awesome! The bacon was out of this world 🌍. Comfy decor with reasonable prices. Only tripe would be the size of the thickshakes. They came in the standard metal cups but was less then half filled. For 10 dollars that's bit of a joke

Great little vibey cafe spot in the heart of Newcastle. Excellent coffee and even more so with their generously portioned dishes (I recommend the French toast). The decor was rustic and kept my eyes busy. The staff were super friendly and faultless. Not cheap, not expensive, what you would expect and can’t complain.

Loved the matcha and Keto menu. Plus the sweetener that they have at each table as an option along with the usual sugar. Will definitely come again.

We spent a few days in Newcastle and was disappointed to find my favourite coffee shop had closed. To my delight I stumbled across Ka-fey cafe and I’m so glad i did. This cafe has just become my new favourite spot to eat in Newy 🥰. The service is excellent, very friendly and accommodating staff, and a welcoming atmosphere. When I enquired about the best Kombucha drink to have, i was given a sample to try, which was so good. The food is healthy and delicious with a good variety and the protein smoothie was excellent. They sell Froyo frozen yoghurt and it absolutely by far the best I’ve ever had. I couldn’t get enough of this place and ate there everyday. I can’t wait to go back next time and i hope 🙏🏼 It will still be there. This is Newcastles best kept secret. ❤🤫

💚 HUGE appreciation post for the cafe that is so good you say it twice Ka-fey cafe. No order is too big or too small and the food is ALWAYS amazing and freshly cooked in house. Plus they read the comments in the Hey You order. What else, who else do you need! 💚

Coffee was great, bacon & egg roll even better, and my wife loved the thin sliced banana bread for extra crispness.

Very dog friendly. Will be back.

Looks are deceiving, but it’s actually a vibe and the salad I had was so good 😍 staff are friendly, food can sometimes take a minute as it seems to be just the 1 cook, but honestly work the weight.

The keto BLAT chaffle was amazing! I added hollendaise to mine which was delish. (Hollendaise just needed some salt and pepper). Even my non keto friend was jealous and wish she ordered the chaffle!

There are many great coffee spots in Newy but this is one of my favourites, consistently great coffee and the best cakes.

Amazing place just needed a place to hang to pass the day away. Great place to relax and chill.
They have a blueberey frozen yougurt that was so nice and cold on a hot day that it gave me a brain freeze while slowly eating it.
Lol and thanks to the Staff for providing me some Moroccan tea that i had been looking for.

Fantastic all around - tried the Keto Chaps, and despite being the only person in the world that doesn’t love cheese, I really enjoyed the meal! The refresher juice & protein power smoothie were great!

1st time experience eating a chaffle, was delicious. Throughly enjoyed meal n bunny juice.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Incredibly attentive. Delicious burgers. We will be back!
