If you don't snag a table with the romantic garden views, or a spot in the cool shady area, thats okay! It gets busy, but they have spare picnic blankets if the tables are full. Try and book ahead or get in early if you want a good spot. Really enjoyed the service and the food matched the great atmosphere. Those cakes too, wew! Thank you, we will be back!
Tips: Parking can be tough on the street, prepare to walk a little, but it's a very nice walk. Great for a date!

Update from my first rating:

Came here initially for chips and coffee - which they did well.

However the bagel dish for brekkie was vegetarian friendly and tasted as good as it looked (points for presentation).

Cafe staff were great this time round - and got to talking about the brew of coffee (which I'm still keen to get once my current coffee ground is finished). It's roasted in Katoomba and can only be brought there at the Cafe - good stuff.

Overall - when I think about a great place to bring out of towners (e.g. people from the east) - I take them here. A great cafe with artwork and a riverside walk nearby. Add the drive to the place (tree lined) and makes for a good visit each time.

Great place to bring the kids too with a nice green for the kids to play.

Keep hitting them winners.

P.S. I did get complaints from the guests I brought about one of the staff at the galleries making visitors feel uncomfortable. I got that vibe too but laughed it off. That said, I am sympathetic and I get where they are coming from (i.e. recent events overseas with people attacking artwork).

In my opinion the best food in the Penrith area. The breakfasts are well priced, excellent quality and the timing of service is fantastic. We are never disappointed when we come here. Always look to try another place but we always just want to go to Lewers.

Such a great space! Love that the kids can explore the gardens and play on the grass.
Food is delicious! The French Chicken Salad was so tasty and fresh and a huge portion, I had to take half home!

I arrived here at 1.30 pm for lunch on 9/3/2024, the atmosphere was delightful, the food was so fresh and presented with so much love and tasted outstanding and Emily the waitress that brought the food over was delightful, friendly and very conscience. Please keep her and she can train other staff, thank you Emily.

Thank you so much to Steve and the team at Cafe at Lewers for making our Wedding Reception so incredible!

Steve was so easy to work with and nothing was too much trouble. He worked with my other vendors behind the scenes to make our reception truly spectacular. The team set up so perfectly and were more than happy to follow my vision. The food was also amazing! As the Bride and Groom, Steve personally made sure we had drinks all night and that we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend Cafe at Lewers for your Wedding Reception!

Great food and impeccable service! Cafe is inside a museum so you can walk around after a sumptuous meal. Bonus that the river is just outside.

Love this place. It's our local go to for brekky/brunch catch ups. Has a lovely outlook, good food and coffee and staff are always lovely and helpful. Also love that it's right along the Nepean River so we can go before or after a stroll or walk. The gardens are stunning and quaint it's my fav part!

Quant little place but it does get busy, so it is best to book. I have only ever had breakfast there and have not been disappointed. The vegetable mezze and the pancakes are great share plates. To avoid wastage they should offer a smaller version. Time should also be taken to enjoy their gallery. A great little place.

We attended for the new Sips & Sounds on Friday afternoons. The venue is gorgeous! We chose a beautiful spot on a picnic rug on the lawn. The service was excellent, lovely young team of people. The food was sensational! We ordered the cheese board and meat board. The cheese board was exceptionaly good! Each cheese for perfectly matched with something sweet (honey, grapes and quince paste). The cocktails were also fantastic and very fairly priced. The music was incredible! A beautiful chilled set by a female young duo called Mojo. I've recommended this Friday night drink venue to all my friends and we will certainly be back soon! Overall a very well thought out night!

Such a cute place tucked away from the main road. Menu is great and the little garden out back is very secluded, perfect for picnics!

A cafe truly worthy of all five stars. The vegan option of saffron Israeli cous cous salad was amazing; very hearty, filling and flavoursome with a great mix of textures while this was the only vegan option there were many on the menu that could’ve easily been adapted to be vegan. My dining partner enjoyed the big breakfast- especially the baked beans that were unlike anything that we had tried before- extremely sweet like homemade beans and very yummy. Coffee is great there with a huge variety of milks and staff were extremely helpful and checked in multiple times to see if we were satisfied with our meals and if we required anything else. Would recommend this cafe for breakfast as the diners would be able to enjoy amazing customer service, great food and beautiful views

I have been to this gorgeous little place a few times. They do tend to get busy so booking ahead is highly recommended - especially on the weekends.

The staff are wonderful and try their best to accomodate everyone as best as they can.

Great juices and food! We had a summer punch juice and I had a lovely fresh, light pasta with parmesan - Just lovely!
