Always drop in after going to to the movies, staff are friendly and helpful and the burgers, the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburgers in particular, are delicious 🤤

I went to Rascal's today; the lady who serviced me was great and super friendly. She had great recommendations for burgers, and it was all with a smile. The burgers were also amazing! It's such a great place, I would recommend it to anyone in Newcastle.

Needed a burger joint like this around Charlestown - great American diner vibe and every burger we've tried there has been smashing! The cauliflower and Mac n' cheese burger even impressed my bf who normally isn't keen on vego food. Classic beef and chicken burger also spot on with flavours and wrapped conveniently for holding in your hand

Amazing experience at Charlestown Rascal’s. We ordered an OG combo, and our server was amazing at ensuring the GF burger was listed as coeliac, and when asked if the other burger could be upgraded, he pointed out the appropriate options to make it happen.

Food tasted amazinggg, service was quick and friendly (despite being at 12:30pm), and the GF bun was the nicest brand that my partner has had so far.

Good serving size as well; enough to make you feel satisfied and not bloated like your other fast foods.

First time in Newcastle, but will be sure to visit once again when we return. Well done guys!

The very best burgers in town! We keep on coming back to Rascals Charlestown and have never been disappointed.

Food is amazing highly recommend the shakes, staff are easy going with great attention to detail.

My favourite Beef burger place ever, I just wish they has a Rascal closer to home on the central coast personally.

I could be completely wrong but this is the only place i’ve seen that does a proper smash patty in this area. There sometimes can be a little to much sauce on the burgers.

The chips are a 8/10 they are good but personally can sometimes be too seasoned.

The Milkshakes are good but a little pricey for the size, inflation wouldn’t help.

The chicken burger my partner had last time was a little dry but they haven’t done us wrong once with beef burgers.

Amazing service they were flat out on V day with only Two wait staff and i cannot complain food was amazing and the service from the crew was great even under pressure and short staffed what a treat!

Updated review: Young lady "served" us today around 1250pm was not at all interested in serving customers. When it was our turn to order, instead of any form of greeting, finished what she was chewing and stared blankly at me. She was also about to sell us the wrong thing which I had to correct before she ripped us off. If it's the same next time, we'll move on to another burger shop.

Previous review: Food's awesome, staff are awesome and they have beer on tap. Enough said.

I came here for my birthday and I was so impressed by not only how delicious the food was, but how friendly and accommodating the staff that work there were. They were all very polite, always smiling which gave a welcoming feel to the place, happy and lovely to talk to and helped my friends and I with any concerns we had. They accidentally put tomato sauce on one of my friends burgers, but immediately refunded her and made a new burger for her fast. They were understanding and nice about the whole situation and we all had a great time. The burgers were amazing, especially the 'Marty McFly'. 100% coming back, thank you for making my night special and one to remember!

What a great little place to grab a burger. Rascals never fails to deliver the same quality each time. Their burgers aren't to over the top and the special rascal sauce is a must to dip chips in. Great selection of beers and who can pass up some mac and cheese as a side? Not me! I will continue to come back!

Was a bit skeptical of the new Rascal at first thinking it wouldn't be as good as the King Street one. My partner and I have ordered from Charlestown for several months now and have been proven wrong. Customer service is always friendly.

Today, we ordered and paid for 2 Dirty Rascals online and the estimated pickup time was 5:07pm. We ran about 15 minutes late, but the girl said there would be an extra 5 minute wait - for whatever reason, I don't know. But as soon as the order was finished, she threw in complimentary fries to say they were very sorry for the wait, which I thought was an extremely kind gesture.

Shout-out to the chef/s who were on tonight (Tuesday 9.02.2021), whoever made our burgers gets the Siskel & Ebert approval - two thumbs up! 👍👍 I could have waited another 20 or so minutes and still end up satisfied at the end of the day. Cheers guys. 😊

Definitely the best burger joint in Charlestown. The Corner is great on Friday and Saturday nights and they sometimes have live music! Our waiter (Pete) was super fun to chat with too!

The burgers are amazing here. Both the chicken and beef ranges are killer. It's on the more expensive side but you definitely get what you pay for.

Went to Charlestown last week (19/06/20) and the food was delicious and very well presented despite being super busy. I didn't mind waiting at all because the person on front of house was killing it. Handling the till, phones, packing and distributing food with the most efficiency I've ever seen while still being polite and making sure everyone in the store was happy. I don't normally leave reviews, but I felt the need this time because it was quite impressive and like watching a well oiled machine!
