What a wonderful experience to be at mist and at Cape Tribulation. Everything about the accommodation was as promised and as shown. Lillian greeted us and showed us through the pavilions. They were delightfully decorated. The mattresses were superbly comfortable and the mosquito nets were just decorative - didn’t experience any in our room. The a/c made sleeping easy and it was delightful to fall asleep to nature’s lullaby. Lillian couldn’t have been more helpful - sending on a charger I had forgotten to pack, and suggesting places to eat, walk, explore etc. Wonderful place to stay, as is Cape Tribulation!

Mist is a 5 star experience, set high on the hill with the rainforest all around you, yet still a short distance to all major attractions. The pavillions are made for comfort and for enjoying the surrounds. Lillian and Kim were great hosts and provided every bit of advice and assistance needed. Spectacular holiday.

Excellent accommodation. Lillian is a very thoughtful host. Our apartment was beautiful and well appointed, very comfy beds, choice of pillows, kitchenette. It has a lovely covered deck with views across the mountains and rainforest and is very quiet and calm. Great value.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mist at Cape Tribulation, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. This tranquil retreat, nestled amongst the rainforest, truly deserves a five-star rating.

First and foremost, the accommodation itself was well appointed and exceeded all expectations. The attention to detail in the design and decor created a cozy and luxurious atmosphere. The highlight for me was the covered balcony, where I could sit back and immerse myself in the mesmerizing symphony of rainforest sounds below Mount Sorrow. It was an absolute delight, offering the perfect setting for relaxation and rejuvenation.

The host at Mist was incredibly hospitable and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was unforgettable. Their warm welcome and attention to our needs made us feel right at home. They provided excellent recommendations for local attractions and activities, which enhanced our overall experience.

The location of Mist is truly remarkable. Just minutes away from the town center, it offers convenient access to Cape Tribulation Beach and Myall Beach. Exploring these natural wonders was a joy, with their pristine beauty and breathtaking views. Additionally, we had the opportunity to partake in exhilarating activities such as zip-lining, which added an extra dose of adventure to our stay.

I highly recommend Mist at Cape Tribulation to anyone seeking a serene and unforgettable rainforest getaway. Whether you're looking to relax, explore nature's wonders, or engage in thrilling adventures, this place has it all. The well-appointed accommodation, combined with the hospitable host and fantastic location, make it an absolute gem. Don't miss out on the opportunity to experience the magic of Mist at Cape Tribulation.

Our recent stay at Mist was nothing short of incredible. The unit was well appointed, with a beautiful deck and a day bed. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept on! I wouldn't hesitate to go back. A true credit to the owners Mary, Paul and Toffee.

Mary and Paul were the most accommodating and wonderful hosts of this brand new, luxury accommodation in the heart of the rainforest. We spent 3 nights with our 6 month old in one of their beautifully appointed cabins, and our every need was catered to, including by even throwing a load of baby washing into their personal washer and dryer. As we were there in the low season, Paul even picked dinner up for us one night as we hadn’t organised anything for ourselves. The cabins themselves are beautifully appointed with high quality fixtures and fittings, Sheridan bath towels and incredibly soft and comfortable bed linens. I would highly recommend mist at Cape Tribulation as a wonderful place to stay to experience the awe-inspiring natural surrounds of the Cape.

Mary and Paul have created the perfect little self-contained studios. Set right at the edge of the rainforest, the deck and daybed offer a wonderful place to sit back with a coffee and take in the sights and sounds of the Daintree. So relaxing! The bathroom has the most amazing shower! The kitchen has all you will need and the bed is super, super comfy. The whole place is screened so bugs are not an issue. They have truly thought of everything. Highly recommended!!

Mary and Paul were wonderful hosts. They made us feel welcome as soon as we drove up and saw them. So helpful guided us everywhere gave us all the advice of the area. And took us to our apartment that was smack bang in the middle of the Daintree forest. The room was clean had all the services that we needed beautiful big bed multiple pillows bathroom shower toilet and a barbecue where we ate every night. It’s a good idea to get some supplies before you come up so you have your breakfast and dinner. Paul and Mary helped us with tourist spots and also places that they knew that were going to be fantastic for us. We will be coming back but this time will bring the whole family. You gotta do this it’s just a breath taking experience to get back that grounding feeling. And of course you can’t forget toffee, When you go up there you’ll see what I mean.

This is an up market bright and airy, secluded rainforest retreat. The hosts, Mary and Paul, are friendly and helpful and are passionate about providing a great guest experience.
The bed was really comfortable and there is a choice of three types of pillows. The bed sheets are linen and are a lovely change. A nice extra from the usual is that the room comes with a coffee pod machine. There is a pleasant 20 min walk into the centre where you have good breakfast, lunch and dinner options if you don't want to eat in your room.
We had a wonderful, relaxing stay.

Mary and Paul were wonderful hosting us in one of their off the grid pavilions. They prepared a cheese platter and wine for our arrival which was so lovely. It was close to everything in Cape Tribulation and they advised us of so many walks and things to do in the area. It was a really relaxing stay and couldn’t recommend it more.

Absolutely astounding and dog friendly!
From the minute we were greeted by Paul and Mary on our arrival, until our farewells, there is not one thing I could fault. The room was beautiful and we were welcomed with a bottle of champagne and a cheese board. The rooms and property are so much more perfect than we could even imagine.
Paul and Mary were so friendly and informative about what to do and where we could take our dogs.
All in all 10/10
Could not recommend more!

We spent 3 nights at Mist which felt about right for most walks and a reef tour. Mist is in a great location. Walkable (or at least we did) to a couple of hotels for food but at the end of a cul de sac to feel very private. The accommodation is perfect. Built by Paul and Mary, the owners, on a plot with old exotic palms with Mount Sorrow dominating from the balcony. Lovely owners and a very enjoyable and memorable stay.

Our short 2 night stay at Mist was fabulous - a comfortable self-contained sustainable unit in the rainforest with all the extra luxuries.

We loved the laid-back balcony views out to Mount Sorrow, linen sheets, pillow options, nespresso (& milk frother!) & Mary & Paul’s friendly hospitality & warm welcome. Thanks again for having us there!

We spent 5 relaxing days at this exotic hideaway. Paul and Mary have created a true slice of heaven in the rainforest, providing luxurious touches - from a gourmet cheese platter, bubbles and beer, to quality toiletries, plush towels and the most comfortable bed and pillows. We sat back on the deck each day taking in the incredible sights and sounds of nature - the rainforest is captivating in any weather, but the rainy days make it even more mist-ical! We felt so spoilt and will always have fond memories of our stay. If you're looking for a relaxing, peaceful retreat, then look no further than Mist at Cape Tribulation.
