Came here for dinner tonight- Laksa was delicious. Highly recommended! One of the best Laksa's I had in a long time. Go get it! Teh tarik was excellent too so smooth.

Overtime can be found in Hamilton's iconic Beaumont St and was a perfect stop for a hearty breakfast and coffee hit before we explored all Newcastle had to offer. The service was friendly and efficient and the food outstanding. Great value for money with a great range of vegetarian options.

The authentic Malaysian food was absolutely delicious and the service was great! Such a lovely date night spot for some good food and cocktails and very affordable! Will definitely be coming back.

Aww stumbled across this place in Beaumont St Hamilton called Overtime cafe,cocktails and piano bar with Malaysian cuisine. My wife took me in and we had the best eggs Benedict I have ever had with beautiful bacon. We also had an amazing cup of coffee to go with breakfast after we finished we decided to go back that evening for dinner. What a way to celebrate my 62nd Birthday. Thank you to all the staff the service was excellent 10/10 we will be back.

We ate here with a group of friends. The the food was a real sensation and everybody was raving about the flavours. The service was great and the atmosphere was a nice relaxed vibe. Easy to have a conversation but with some nice music in the background.

Eggs Benny with Salmon + Iced Soy Latte. Yummo 😀 Cruisy cafe vibe and friendly service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Really nice establishment, extremely courteous staff, good selection of meals from the menu. Meals our group ordered were well presented & value for the price being charged. I had the Overtime Salad with a poached egg and halloumi and guys… run, don’t walk! Bloody delicious, and really friendly service to pair with the food. Will be back 👌🏼👌🏼

Had a great lunch. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our 3 year old daughter was no problem. My wife and I both had the Chicken Schnitzel. It was a Japanese Tempura version of bread crumbs. Very light, the chicken was cooked perfectly, not over or under. I felt it was reasonably priced.

Vibe is great, food and coffee is awesome, one of the lovely staff even took a photo of my partner and I when she saw us taking a selfie. We chatted for a little bit, she was so kind! Will be back for dinner for sure

Welcoming staff, nice food, had the curry chicken, so tender, very nice. cappuccino is the best one I'd had in a long time, not watery or like a flat white, actually frothy to the last drop. Friend also very much liked her focaccia. Lady owner is very nice.

Our new local! Staff are great and only had cocktails. Very accommodating as they are willing to use their imagination for a custom cocktail. Going back to try their food which so reasonably priced and looks good from other patrons tables.

I had the best Malaysian food in Newcastle at Overtime Cafe - my friends recommended and I was initially skeptical because I’m Malaysian and tough to please but man everything was amazing. We ordered Malaysian Curry chicken, Curry Laksa vego, Bak Kut Teh (brought back memories of Malaysia, it was so damn good), and sweet & sour barramundi. Give it a try and you won’t be disappointed! Grab a pint to wash it all down, or treat yourself to an espresso martini coz you’re classy like that and you deserve it. LOVE IT!
