PK's Jungle Village

This place is absolutely banging for the price. the cheapest place we could find on the cape. we arrived without any booking quite late at night but the staff where able to whip up a budget room for us since we had nowhere else to go. The budget rooms are extremely simple. just a small cupboard, double bed, window and aircon. But, they where clean and suited us perfectly for the 2 nights we stayed. the garden and bar area is also quite relaxed most of the time and the food and drink was decent for the price.

Fantastic place to stay. Great location, good atmosphere, good food and a fair price. The staff at PKs are amazing and cater to your every need. Singh the manager definitely makes sure you have a great experience

Great atmosphere, great location. The food is good and the service is amazing. One of the staff members Singh is an absolute legend, always has a great attitude and caters for all your needs.

Dined here for dinner and breakfast while working in Cape Tribulation post cyclone Jasper.

An unexpected find in daintree! Really fun evening atmosphere in the bar, food was decent, had 3x free pool tables with no queues too! Definitely recommend !

Stayed 2 nights in our van we had an awesome time. The staff were very pleasant and facilities were great. Lovely pathway to beach.
We ate both nights at the bar and had amazing steaks and snitzels.
Great souvenirs at the shop, I bought my new fishing shirt.
We will go back !!

Everytime we have come up to have lunch......the sighns are out saying....lunch 1-3. On numerous occasions we are turned away being told "no soup for you today".
Walk outside and people everywhere.

The most kind and amazing people going out of their way to help us and give us a beautiful experience. The facilities are super clean, hot showers, plenty of kitchen space, and amazing location next to beach and rainforest. The bar is a place for backpackers and locals so it’s super fun. Had the best time here thank you :)

Didn't stay here, but the food served here is amazing 🙏 shout out to the chef Sonny. Haven't had such a good chicken parmy in ages. A really nice place to hang out and chat with the locals, which most of them, are lovely people. It really made our trip up in the Daintree, definitely worth a visit for dinner or lunch or even just a drink. Such friendly people :)

Went here from lunch as we stayed on Port Douglas and heading towards Daintree. There was one guy on the kitchen making all the meals and one girl behind the counter and bar. I didn't expect top service but I enjoyed the atmosphere. The guys working there are happy to give any advice or pointers on where to go.

We were looking for an affordable yet comfortable room with AC and PK’s was the perfect spot for us. Great location in this area and the room was simple yet plenty for our needs. We felt the lodging provided great value and we’d stay again if in this area.

Really nice place to stop. Rooms very clean but super small(budget room), just enough room to walk around the bed. Beds were comfortable and well made with quality sheets. It is a backpackers so the 3:20 AM laughter was a bummer but not a surprise.

I camped at PK's with my wife and two children recently. We all really loved it. The kids loved swimming in the pool and playing pool in the bar. You can walk along the beach from the site and there's a nice boardwalk you can do too. They had some brilliant live music on the weekend - we all loved listening to Ben Jansz while we were there. You can also take trips out to the reef from just outside the campsite. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. We ate in the bar a few times and the food was great. I'd highly recommend a stay here.

We had an amazing stay at PKs and were sorry to leave. The facilities are well kept, clean and equipped with everything you need. The staff were exceptional and made us feel extremely welcome. To Daniel, Fiona, Chloe, Morrison and the rest of the crew, thank you for a memorable holiday. I will definitely be back. See you then 😁

After a long day of driving we were so pleased from the moment we arrived. We were warmly greeted by the bubbly Daniel who organised a great spot...came for a couple of days stayed a week.
The kitchen provides a basic yet tasty menu.
Live bands on most weekends.
Highly recommended.
The place to let the world go by and live in nature. The beach walk is an experience in itself!

Great location. Beach access. Rooms were very clean. Pool was great kids had a great time. The entertainment at night time was fun. Staff really friendly and helpful.

We got a private room for $90 per night, and although it was small with nothing else but a double bed, cold aircon and a single cupboard, it’s all you really need when spending your time exploring Cape Tribulation all day. Pizza was the tastiest thing on the menu.
We did need to supply our own blanket & extra pillows (one each) which we didn’t realise. You get a top sheet, but FNQ summer you need that aircon on, and typically something slightly warmer than a top sheet.
You basically get exactly what you pay for and we had no complaints with that.

Wow, pks jungle village has a very special place in my heart i wish i could live here. What an insane place in the heart of the jungle, i grew up in the mountains in england so PKs felt very close to my heart. I would explain the hostel as "camping huts" in the jungle rather than a hostel. Remember, youre literally in the jungle so it's not going to be 100% clean - insects are inevitable so be prepared for this. But you can't complain at the price when you're in the middle of the jungle and right by the beach for the most, PERFECT sunrise. I would absolutely very very highly recommend this for fellow travellers as i had the most magical and amazing time. If you're used to 5* hotels don't bother booking this because you will not appreciate the sheer beauty of the destination, the people and the wildlife. I look forward to returning in the future.

This is exactly what you want after a big day of jungle adventures. The chefs great, recommend the chicken parmi and pizzas. The locals and backpackers both come here, youll have a great time and good laughs!
