Location is an absolute highlight - completely nestled in the Daintree rainforest. Our cabin had a private outdoor kitchen and bathroom overlooking the rainforest, and our own private pathway to a table/chairs/sculpture under the rainforest canopy. It'd be impossible to be more immersed in the beautiful environment. Our cabin was beautifully clean and we received a very warm, friendly welcome from Gaye who showed us around the property. There are many spots on the property for guests to use and enjoy the rainforest even more, including seating by a private creek. You could stay here without even leaving the property and have an amazing rainforest getaway. However it is only a short walk to restaurants, cafes, and the beach.

What a unique accommodation, run by awesome people. Gaye & Lee went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Can't wait to get back. Highly recommend!

Cute and rustic accommodation surrounded by rainforest. Loved the open air shower and kitchen. The owner was so helpful even loaning us headlamps to go wildlife spotting at night. Great value for money.

Such a unique place to stay, absolutely amazing. We loved our 3 night stay in the jungle treehouse. So clean, for an open air room. No bugs, besides the odd moth. The birdsong in the morning is beautiful. If you are coming to Cape Tribulation this is the place to stay. Highly recommend this magical place.

Stayed 2 nights which was a birthday surprise by my family… and that it was! I loved the uniqueness of it and being from the bush myself we were not phased by the visiting critters - or potential ones! Birdsong in the morning😍. No windows- but no mozzies👍
The hammocks fun but a challenge getting in and out of - with a glass in wine!! The shower viewed by the scrub turkey. The creek water devine. The sculpture walk amusing indeed😯. New hosts Gaye and Leigh are lovely with lots of Ideas on the ‘to do’ list for the place.
Thanks - appreciate the effort it would take to cart laundry along that path!!!

We spent two nights in the Jungle Treehouse at the beginning of February. If you are after a truly unique experience in the Daintree, look no further than this place. The treehouse itself is absolutely stunning fit with all the amenities you could need, including a shower and loo with a view! Falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of the forest was magical. Even though there are no windows we didn't experience any mosquitos and hardly any bugs ventured inside either. On our last night we saw fireflies at dusk flitting about the forest. The new owners were warm and welcoming.

Pristine jungle setting in the heart of the Trib. Hosts Gay and Leigh were genuinely friendly and welcoming. The property is eco conscious and boast lots of sculptures including few almost real size Easter island Moais. Cheers

This place was simply magical.

By far my favourite part of my trip to Cairns. I only wish I had spent more time here and less in Cairns.

Everything about this place was epic!

Having said that, it's not going to be for everyone...WARNING...the bathroom and shower are OUTSIDE...it has to be one of the coolest bathrooms I've ever seen, but I can imagine if you're afraid of the dark, or noises in the bush, then this wouldn't be for you. But I loved it!
Apart from the epic Bathroom the Queen bungalow we stayed in was very simple, just a bed and power socket really. But again I loved this too, it was more than big enough for the both of us to enjoy. And with the awesome common area just a few meters away with a great veranda/patio including a hammock, it was just the coolest place to hang out and have a few drink in the evening.

Rob was a great host, and I highly recommend taking his advice about going on the bushwalk/trail that he's created around the place, it was awesome. Love the creek and bbq and bar area that he's created in the bush.

I'll definitely be back here again, just a question of which of the awesome rooms to stay in. The Yurt looks like a must do.

Very quirky and unique accommodation for sure. The owners were warm and welcoming. We stayed at one of the cabins and thoroughly enjoyed it. The thing we loved most and totally didn't expect was the sculpture trail - the combination of the craftsmanship of all those sculptures and the natural setting was just amazing.

We had a lovely stay in the Jungle Hut. Smack bang in the rain forest so we heard many animals at night and we even had cassowaries come up to the back porch. Shane is really friendly, relaxed and helpful. Cannot speak highly enough of this place!

This was my second visit to this magic place, and I loved it even more if that was possible! I am long time local in the region and run away when I can. I get to rest, retreat and let the rainforest work it's charm on me. Gaye and Lee have made many improvements and were extremely gracious hosts. Highly recommended!

We're a young family and stayed for 3 nights in the Tree house (hand built by the owner, Rob).

Upon arrival you appreciate the detail and effort Rob and his wife has put into this sanctuary over the past 25 years. From the breakfast bar to the sculptures (some hidden) this is also a mini golf course for the keen eyed.

All the mod cons nestled in the heart of the rain forest. There is hot water, gas stove and decent cookware which can cater for proper family size meals (not token bits of dodgy can opener and blunt knives you find in lots of self catering places). It was suprisngly to find freshly grounded coffee and a plunger in the waiting, something of a welcome sight to have creature comforts in amongst the canopy surrounded by wildlife such as the inquisitive Cassawory, and the playful Bandicoots (at night).

Sleep was nice and comfy, and despite the semi open air, there were no mossies or irritating insects when the lights were out. I'm a light sleeper and it was fine.

Sadly Rob is selling this place, so if you're those hands on sort of person who likes to build things, it's best to check this place out while he's still around. That tree house is one for the big kids as much as the little ones.

Edit.
Please ignore reviews from idiots who expect the Tree house to have some sort of invisible force field to keep the critters out. You're in a rain forest, you will find the occasional insect in your Tree house in the jungle, something the Instagram types just can't seem to comprehend.

We stayed 2 nights in a jungle cabin and loved it. I really enjoyed waking up in the morning and having a coffee on the verandah that backs onto the jungle (as does the open air shower - so fab!)

The owners are lovely and accept for a miscommunication organising a night walk, organised any activity we wanted to do - which is useful when there is now reception. Having said that wifi was free.

We spent an afternoon waking along mile long beach to the head land where we had a picnic lunch ,(and saw a turtle feeding and diving in the waters below) and then walked along to cape tribulation beach via the beach.

Thank you for a great stay.

The most wonderful experience we have ever had. You feel deep in the forest with your own private bungalows and a gorgeous central area where the family can tell you some
amazing stories about the cape trib history.

We stayed a week. It is very beautiful here. Secluded, quiet (not counting the incredibly noisy wildlife) and comfortable! Outdoor bathroom was the best. Owners are excellent people.

Ok if you are staying in the daintree this is the place to go book the treehouse and i promise you wont regret it. The owners live onsite and are great people the guy made me and my partner think af arnold swartzerneger every time we spoke to him.
Having the wildlife pay us a visit at night was a experience we will never forget.
