Chinese food here taste really authentic with good portion and plenty of varieties. Staffs are very friendly regardless how busy they are. Prices are very reasonable as well where noodles, rice set and fried rice start from $10 each. My family like their food so much that we keep going back at least once a week!

Awesome food! Great service! First time here and definitely won't be the last. Even the rice tasted amazing! Can't wait to get back there and try more items from their menu. Very reasonably priced too, which is another plus. Can highly recommend this for great Chinese food!

I recommend sanbao for a real Chinese experience! Eddie and the crew will go out of their way to make you happy with their good service. Try the pork prawn dumplings or gongbao chicken!
Update: yesterday Eddie recommended me “spicy Griddle Cauliflower with pork belly” 🌶🌶 and it was GLORIOUS! Cauliflower can be a bit dull but they mastered the seasoning and served on a portable stove and it’s amazing. Looking forward to going back next week to have it again!

VERY friendly owner. Good food with big portion at a great price. Salt and pepper tofu is a must try. The seaweed salad is Good too. Very extensive menu. if you are not sure about what to order because of too many options, it never goes wrong starting from the chefs recommendations

Authentic, tasty food. Reminds me of mum's cooking. Seating isn't fantastic and doesn't feel super clean, but I promise you the food is worth it. They do deliver via menulog if you're uncomfortable, but definitely worth a try. I gave enjoyed every dish I've tried and their menu is so huge I have to keep coming back!

So good. Owners were friendly bunch. Prawn rice wasnt too salty and generous. Dumplings were amazing. Salt and pepper tofu not so much but we did so a takeaway

Great food overall

Been here some times, great food for an unexpensive price, very friendly staff too. Haven't posted any reviews for a while but they definitely deserve a 5 star rating. Recommended!

I remember when this little place opened. I was one of the first customers. Being a vegetarian I was a little hesitant. I spoke with the owner, who must be a master chef, and he said that he would make anything I want. He made the most amazing custom meal for me. I've been going back for years now and I'm never disappointed. Generous portions, very reasonably priced and fantastic food! Forget everything you know about your usual Chinese food. This is different! Go there! :)

Sanbao Kitchen is a national treasure. I've ordered from this place now a few times and the food is sensational. Delicious noodles and soups. Excellent portions and great value. Service is also really quick no matter if you are picking up or getting it delivered. A firm favourite!

Excellent Chinese restaurant, and definitely not your cliched Canton-Australian fare. If you order off the chef's recommendation menu you can't go wrong. Fresh and great value. The chef's are also really nice and always happy to see us

It is much better than it looks.
Hearty portions and very tasty.
Great value.
The guys cooking are friendly.

And the place is surprisingly busy
for such a new restaurant.

Do me a favour when you go...
order Polenta Chips.
He took them off the menu after the first 2 weeks.
If enough people hassle him, he'll put the back on. :)

It may not look like much, but this little restaurant serves the best Chinese food I've had outside China - and as good as any I've had inside China. I don't think I've ever before had fried rice that was so completely non-oily. Try the tomato-egg soup for two. Delicious.

Extremely good like always, me and my family have been over 7 times and the food is lovely, the owner is very nice and the main waiter is also so kind. It is very close to Hornsby station for easy accessibility and there is very a very close car parking facility. In my opinion I think it is the perfect restaurant.

We have just finished our first meal (lunch) from this wonderful restaurant. It was exceptional! Amazing flavours, very generous servings and good prices. My partner had Dongpo Pork which he says is the best pork he has ever tasted! The Gongbao Chicken was also delicious. The best part is that we have some left over for dinner!

Ordered combination chow mein, combination fried rice, lamb cumin, pan fried dumplings and garlic bok choy and every single one is absolutely amazing. The food is delicious and fresh even though portion sizes are massive.

Staff are also friendly and helpful which is a double plus. Definitely coming back for more!

The best Chinese restaurant in Hornsby. I visited this restaurant for the first time in about six months, and not only did the chef/owner remember where I usually sat, but he also remembered the order I had last time. Very extensive menu, and the meals are all delicious. Would highly recommend.

The food is very tasty, and a great variety of choices well presented in a menu display book - for a very reasonable price. For vegetarians: any meat dish can be prepared with tofu instead, just ask the chef! One of my favorite places to eat in Hornsby

Me and hubby order Sanbao often, via menulog :P I've put many good reviews every time we order and can't say it enough!! That they have great food!! I was always in search of the perfect dumpling until I got Sanbao Kitchen Fried Pork Dumplings. There's something different about them than other places. Firstly the skin or dough of the dumpling tastes handmade which is delicious ! And second, the meat inside has such a beautiful flavour! It actually seems to caramelise on the outside of the meat/inside of the dough, which is very hard to explain but WOW DELCIOUS! We also order their Chow Mein in either chicken or pork and we also LOVE the combination Chow Mein as it has so much of everything! Not to mention the serving sizes are great in that big takeaway container. I usually eat half for dinner and bring the rest for work which works well money-wise. I've never had an instant of bad quality/not fresh ingredients, or anything missing from our order. They also confirm the order on Menulog very quickly which show they pay attention to customer service and care about their customers :) Thank you Sanbao Kitchen for bringing us delicious and fresh meals! We love them!

Delicious food and the service is amazing! A very honest, genuine hard working team! The girl serving us was so helpful and friendly and the manager is always so polite and goes to extra effort to make sure we have a good time and even made things for us that weren’t on the menu! Can’t fault this place!

We have got takeaway and eaten in. Food is tasty and very reasonably priced. Staff are friendly, we had 2 young kids (3yo) running around and they were very accommodating and understanding. Would recommend to anyone and we will def be back.
