Their customer service is not perfect. However, I decided to give 4 stars due to recent experience.
I often go back here for maple french toast, milk bread and mochi bread. Last time, when I visited the shop, I saw nil milk bread on shelves. When I asked when the milk bread would be available, staff did not concern about my disappointment and simply said "afternoon" (it was already afternoon). However, when I said "basically I am here for the milk bread", they changed their attitude, started actively checking time and availability of bread. In a few minutes, I had all my favourites in my hands.
I can say their customer service is a bit strange, but not consistently bad.
Many of their products are better than breadtop

yum yum yum the food is very aesthetic and tastes great. Especially the lemon drink with pink pearls which is my favourite yum yum yum. But the food can make you obese if you eat too much and it is an okay price yum yum yum.

Newly opened, nice tasting bread as expected.

But the promotion they offered for the first 2 weeks is confusing and complicated, even the requirement to gain their VIP card in order to get 5% off has a few conditions - which makes me think they do not genuinely want to offer these to customers.

The customer service is non existent. The young lady behind the counter clearly doesnt want to be there. My wife and I politely waited until she closed her laptop and removed it from the counter. After she just started at us for a while we took it as our cue to place an order. The experience was really something.

Saw a promo poster on store window, tried to ask woman behind counter. Staff replied with least words possible and bad attitude. Decided there and then to only go shop at Breadtop one floor down from now on.

I would give 0 stars if i could. The customer service is TERRIBLE
I ordered a taro milk tea with pearls and no ice. The lady made a brown drink and gave it to me, I told her I ordered a taro drink, which is purple. So she goes and remakes ANOTHER BROWN DRINK! so the next lady comes along and remakes it, and she does make a taro drink but SHE FILLS IT WITH ICE!!
not only that, they have the audacity to ask for another 80c because the first lady apparently charged me the wrong price,,
So i give them a $2 coin and get 20CENTS CHANGE,, are they actually serious at this point??!!!!
drink was nice but the service is horrid and I wouldn't waste my time there again.

it's not just a pick at this store, but all 85c stores, use real cream not the fake sugary stuff, a child could make better cakes then this franchise. this makes the cheesecake shop look like 5 star top shelf cakes.

Staff is nasty and ignorant. They ignore you and use a little words as possible to serve you. I asked about tea one-day and the lady ignored me. I love their products but I stopped going there often as the staff are unbarelble to deal with.

I have been to numerous 85 C cafe for boba and have always been pleased by their tea but the Boba tea that I had here was disgusting as it stuck to my straw in every sip. This was the worst boba tea I had ever drink!!!
