The Middle Pub

We just stopped here for lunch, and what a surprise! An eatery deserving the Michelin stars (plural) in the middle of a village! We had braised beef chick and salt n pepper calamari and food was prepared to perfection! If I knew I would have brought my second stomach 😭. Thank you to the chef and staff for a wonderful experience.

I only visited this as a pub, on a Tuesday night while travelling through town. It was bustling with people, and the poor staff (really friendly) were run off their feet.

I don’t know how much were regulars, how many were tourists, but I’d never seen a country town pub so full. When I saw the menu, I could see why though. All meals $20, including a rump steak (300g) or a t-bone (350grams). Was cooked perfectly (medium rare is hard to get just right) with peppercorn sauce and mash.

One of the best steaks I’ve had in years, at and a fraction of the price we’d pay for on the Gold Coast. Fantastic value, and the atmosphere was jumping. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience, but there wasn’t an option to rate the food in the GoogleMaps registry. It’s 5-star.

Rooms very clean and tidy, beds very comfortable.
Kitchen makes amazing high quality food, generous portions.
All staff are very friendly and courteous.
The locals are friendly.
Off street parking only, but no fines issued despite signage.

Ohh man, the $20 meal deals really do it for me. In particular the lamb shank.
Very quaint decor and good vibe in my experience.
Always look forward to a feed and beer here anytime I’m in Mullum.

What I appreciate most about the Middle Pub is that it serves as a reliable, safe, community gathering place. There are many different vibes available to each guest or group, from lounge couches, to the balcony, to the pub music floor.

The $20 food menu is super legit. Lots of great options, big portions, and all very tasty.

It's nice to read the framed pictures around the restaurant that talk about the history of the pub and mullumbimby.

Excellent bird watching spot as well.

$20 For all dinners, we had a Tbone steak that was delicious would recommend to family and friends

I Had a few meals here during the day aswell as night time.The price's were reasonable and a good environment. Went back a few times for different activities in & around the area's near by

This is a review to appreciate Loli's work as she is tirelessly welcoming people to the pub with a big smile and best working attitude. After mistakinly overcharging me two weeks ago, when I came back to the pub today, she remembered my face, the fact that I was overcharged, and the amount. She did all she could to make sure I was reinbursed and that I had the best service possible. Thanks for your work Loli, I truly appreciate it :)

Absolutely delicious! Chefs are creating masterpieces. Any dish ordered here is immaculately presented and has a heavenly taste.

Had lunch at the middle pub with friends passing through, after attempting to find somewhere to eat in Brunswick heads, so packed , short drive to Mullumbimby absolutely amazing food and only $20 would definitely recommend and go back 😊
