La Bottega Byron Bay

This is a hidden gem of a place. The food is possibly the best Italian food we've had in Australia. It was so delicious that we had to come back the next night for dinner.
There is something for everyone on the menu. My vegetarian wife had enough to choose from over our two visits that she was happy. Our fussy daughter was easily catered for and our son and me delighted in their pizza and pasta.

The service is welcoming and makes you feel like it's an invitation to someone's home with really good cooking.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

You will not regret it.

I have been twice so far and both times it has been beyond outstanding. One of the finest Italian restaurants I have been to! Pasta specials are excellent using imported Italian ingredients and the service is very welcoming and friendly + very reasonable prices.

It is lovely to see all the staff passionate about the food they are serving and taking pride in their work. Thank you La Bottega for a great Italian meal.

The pizza and the spaghetti and the salad were sooooooo good. Long time since we enjoyed such restaurant. The owner and the staff are so sweet.

Traditional Italian in Byron bay! We loved the taste and the service! We had to take a pizza take away on top of our pasta dinner! We felt like we were back in Italy -just delicious!!!

Came across this little gem. Beautiful authentic Italian. Food is packed with flavour, pizzas were great and the Norcina pasta was amazing. A place where you feel like your sitting in Nona's place.

Delicious! The best kept secret in Byron Bay. The food is home cooked. Tasty. Hidden away in a gorgeous corner where you feel like you are in Italy. The food was unbelievable. The owner was so warm and welcoming.

I had take away from here twice - pizza one night two pasta dishes the next. Pizza was top notch and pasta with mushrooms and sausage was exceptional and better than most restaurants in Italy I have been to. Exceptional authentic Italian food and friendly service at a non pretentious restaurant. Well done these guys are clearly committed to great food and service.

We had an amazing dinner, food was absolutely next level, service was great with friendly waiters and the atmosphere with the music and signing was super fun. Highly recommend this little Italian restaurant for anyone in Byron area.

It was such a delightful experience, very warm ambience and absolutely wonderful service!! The pasta, pizza and lasagna really reflected the chef's heart in his dishes, our tummies were well pleased :)) With love from Singapore, here at Byron Bay for one day of our 14-day road trip and so very blessed at this dinner here!

Coming from an Italian background, I am ALWAYS sceptical when eating Italian out. La Bottega exceeded all expectations and is by far some of the best Italian I have eaten in Australia. If you want simple dishes that have quality ingredients and superb flavours, this is the place to go.

My boyfriend and I (both Italians) had dinner here many times for the entire summer. This place is really a little corner of Italy with the best Italian food we had in Australia; the owner is a wonderful person and he really care about his place. The staff this summer was the best! The food was amazing and the service was exceptional. I couldn’t fault anything as we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The special touch was the little surprise the staff did for my twins birthday today ❤ They couldn’t stop talking about it they loved it so much. Definitely would recommend and if I lived here would be going back over and over again. Great place.

The best pizzeria in town! Peppe, the owner, is one of the funniest Italians I've ever met. Beautiful traditional food experience.

such lovely staff with the kindest hearts and wonderful service, the food was hands down the best i’ve ever had. so impressed and warmed by the service at this restaurant, will forever be a favourite when i’m in the area xx
