Amazing views of circular quay.
Very happy I’d heard of this as I’d been enviously watching people with more disposable income walk over harbour bridge and this perfectly scratched that itch.
Easy to get to, couple of elevators from the rocks area that help those less abled to get up to the entrance of the tower. Water fountain and benches to help when you get into tower itself.
Nice museum and cinema bit on the way out to give you a brief history.
Highly recommend

Very nice view up there. You can circle around at the top and have a great view of the bay. You also can see all the car lanes, tram lane, bus line... of the bridge which is interesting. It's a little pricey but you can't get that view by just walking on the bridge.

Amazing panoramic views of Sydney. There is a small museum aside to learn more about the bridge and its history. There is an entrance fee but its absolutely worth it. It gets a bit crowded when organised tours come to the view point.

Forget the bridge climb. This costs $25 and gives you an amazing view, you can spend as long as you want at the top, and the ticket price includes access to a relatively quaint museum. On a Sunday lunchtime we had the view to ourselves.

Spectacular views of the bridge, harbour, Opera House and more - well worth a visit. There is a bit of a stair climb to get to the top, but it's very manageable.
Aside: it looks like Google Maps finally fixed calculating directions from the south side (it was broken at the time I visited, constantly going via the north end of the bridge instead), but to be safe it may be best to just refer to the directions from the Pylon Lookout website.

It’s a good option if you want to see the top of the Harbour Bridge and some good scenic views without breaking the bank as with the bridge climb. The museum was small but interesting as well.

This is a great alternative for those who are a little intimidated to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge but still seek the views. Easy access to the lookout platform and the views are incredible. Before you leave, the museum is an added bonus to learn about the construction and history of the bridge.

It must be visited by every single tourist who visited Sydney
The price 25$ reasonable the view is fantastic but you must know you have to climb all the way up there is no elevator.

A very good value attraction in Sydney. The views are amazing, not just of the bridge but the whole harbour. Its the perfect option if you either don't want to pay out for, or are too scared for the bridge climb. You can see the climbers from the lookout.
The museum on the way out is very interesting. The only slight negative was the lighting is quite low so it was difficult to read some of the labels.
Great experience though. Thank you.

Best place to get photos of Sydney and learn about the bridge. If you are not brave enough to walk to the top of the bridge, this is a good alternative. The entrance is actually on the bridge structure, so take the lift up to the bridge wall walkway and walk towards the pylon. There is an entrance there and then walk up the stairs.

Went with family of 4 (young kids). We came via the Rocks so had to navigate thru stairs and lift to reach the harbour sidewalk. I think it's the best way rather than following google map direction of coming via Milson point.
Once there, amazing to learn the history of the construction of Sydney Harbour Bridge and the amazing views of the harbour and city.
Actual location doesn't have pram store away so we just left tuck it away at the corner of the bridge.
Good few hours of hours spent in the afternoon. Worth the entrance fee with kids.

Despite the 200+ stairs I love this climb, there are interesting facts on the way and the view at the top is awesome. I had just come off a cruise ship so did the climb to get a decent photo of the ship.

Lots of stairs to access the pylon lookout but well worth it for the amazing view. On a clear day there are beautiful views all the way to the ocean, circular quay and darling harbour and the west. It was a little more expensive than we thought it would be at $25 for an adult, $16 for a concession. There are toilets available half way up. The video history at the end has captions which is great.

Great view, gr8 cheaper alternative to the harbour bridge

The pylon lookout was a great experience, would recommend adding the detailed knowledge of the Harbour bridge build to your to do list

Stunning views from the top and much much cheaper than doing the bridge climb. I usually visit the pylon if I accommodate visitors from overseas as you have an absolutely amazing view at a very reasonable price. On my last visit, adults paid $25 and students $16. Children (4-13) pay $12.

Much cheaper than the full bridge climb. Also, it's obviously much less strenuous and doesn't take 3 hours to complete. The 360 degree panoramic views are almost as good as the height difference negligible.

We were under the bridge, lovely man with a Prosecco van. Very relaxing spot.

Brilliant experience. Only 200 steps to climb, so quite manageable for any reasonably fit person. Informative museum. Great views over Sydney. Inexpensive. Not quite the full bridge climb experience, but has its place in the scheme of things.

Great views over the city and the bay. The museum is small but informative and includes a good mix of reading material, videos, models etc. Staff are friendly. There is a small gift shop with restrooms. In my experience there is no need to book-- on a Saturday morning in May I had the museum and lookout almost to myself.
