And there’s plenty of choice regarding the atmosphere you’re after. There’s different levels depending on how busy you like it. Top floor is the quietest and ground the busiest.

Best drink and bar I had went to in Sydney!

The bartender was a lovely lady, who made me a J&M Old Fashioned and it was DELIGHTFUL.

Staff was so very nice and there knowledge of every bottle of liquor was 10/10. Couldn’t recommend this place enough 🤩

Great find - perfect to have a bite and some wine before the theater. Service was attentive- Lola. We had the Wagyu Bresaola and Agur Blue cheese, great bread and accompaniment, washed down with a bottle of Petit Chablis. Vibe is Motown. Definitely would try some of the whiskey collection if it was later in the evening. Another time! 😋

The most amazing cocktail experience in Sydney. Gerald was so great at talking us through each cocktail and matching up us to a cocktail he chose. The staff were so well presented, friendly and informative. Would recommend to anyone looking for a unique experience in Sydney CBD

My friends and I popped into J&M because we didn’t want to line up at The Caterpillar Club. We had no expectations of this place and were delighted to find a super cool whisky bar 2 flights up from a very average pub bar on the ground floor. The drinks were good but the service and staff were second to none. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Lola was a delight and Gerald was a super star, no request was to much for him. These guys turned our great night into the best night. We’ll be back for sure. Great old school music and super comfy chairs too.

Absolutely fabulous. Go there for an intimate whisky and cocktail experience. Its on level 2, and the whole bar is done up so tastefully. Loved this little gem of a place

Amazing find, we stumbled upon it and had delicious drinks, the service was great, loved the atmosphere. Staff were super friendly and even helped us take some lovely photos next to the bar, which was well stocked. Highly recommend.

Who knew! I actually didn’t really know this place existed, but now it’s an easy favourite. The staff were incredible and the drinks and food were the same. The atmosphere was great and, which is a surprise, it was not overly crowded.

A great selection of whisky available here. Although slightly on the more expensive side, most of the items were in stock, unlike other whiskey bars near Wynyard. Service was attentive and Ian and the team treated as well. Some nights its quite quiet and felt more like a whisky bar, whereas other nights have more people. Hit and miss. However givne the current environment, it may probably be better to have more customers, so I can come here more often in the future. Would be back 👍

One of my favourite cute bars in the CBD. Exceptional customer service and very welcoming & cozy ambience. They have very comfy seats and I always love their cheese plates and charcuterie selection! Cocktails and wine are on point too!

Went here with an old friend who I haven't seen in ages on a whim, and what a fantastic place to reunite. The drinks were fantastic, the staff were courteous and incredibly personable, and the tucked away entrance left a very intimate place to get to chat and relax. It was truly one of a kind in every sense and I could not have been more happy. Pricing was fair and drinks were both delicious and filling. The selection was vast and as someone who was looking for suggestions, the staff delivered on that front and then some. Would rate higher if I could, coming back very soon!

Perhaps my favourite cocktail bar in the
Wynyard area, been going for years, several reasons:
- if you are a big fan of whiskey/cognac based style cocktails but also like subtle expression in flavours they do it great here
- not too loud, not too quiet. The only place you can seat down and have a chat with you friends rather then drowning in the mixture of unpleasantness in the background. Could always found a seat somehow(pre-COVID)
- yes it’s for elegant drinkers wanting to sip and taste
- how nice and always helpful are the people here!

A great hidden cocktail bar where the cocktails are always mixed to perfection. Dimly lit, the place feels cosy and works well for after work catch ups as well as dates. Can get busy though, so you may need to try your luck several times. Staff are friendly and fast with the service. A place to keep up your sleeve!

Cool cosy place. Hard to find a seat on a Friday night though! The service is always next level, super friendly, attentive staff. Extensive whisky menu.

Third floor whisky bar. Great setting and awesome team. The guys behind the bar really knew their stuff and took their art of mixing drinks very seriously. Will be back again
