Never Judge a Book by it's Cover! A little skeptical about the guy with tattoos behind the counter, but how wrong was I, he was amazing! He was ever so helpful with my order even tho I was being a little difficult, but he was so friendly, like a long-lost friend. And it wasn't just me, he treated everyone the same - what wonderful customer service you just don't see these days. Coffee was absolutely beautiful and he let everyone know how far away their coffee was, so we weren't standing there wondering. Fantastic shop with some hidden treasures. Will be back next time we're in the area.

I love the old fashioned service you get at this place. Love how the coffee comes out in older style mugs with retro spoons. The outdoor area is surrounded by plants and is a great way to start your day. Even on holidays I was treated like a local.

Beautifully presented and very delicious, hand made Chai latte.
The location is surrounded with wonderful plants, giving it a hidden garden feel amongst the Coolum esplanade.
Friendly service was great and above reproach.
And at $4.50 for a mug size... Outstanding value.
4.5 stars, is what i normally give when alternative milks incurs a charge.
However, the lactose free milk was high quality and organic, so i have to give "The Shop"...

Awesome friendly service, with a nice outdoor alfresco area for a coffee or food. A foodstore plus great coffee.
Try it if in Coolum Beach, just across from the surf club.

So much more than a grocery store. Português tarts, fresh baked goodies, almond croissants, yeast free bread, coffee, groceries, flowers and great staff. Don't go past like we nearly did!

Awesome food, the best gluten free carrot cake. Great service and coffee. Highly recommend 😊

More than just A Shop, "The Shop" this is one of the few sanctuaries of old Coolum community. I've been coming here for I don't know - how long have they been there? Whenever I duck in, I see so many stories shared and so much community connection happening. Thank gawd for David and Gaye and The Shop. Before there were hipsters, there were these 2 lifting the coffee game in Coolum. Just need to make sure I do my beach walk to justify all those yum baked goods and local breads (yes this is where you get the good stuff)

My favourite place in Coolum to get a coffee and purchase locally sourced products! My husband and I have been coming to The Shop for the past 4 years - and have always had amazing service, fantastic coffees and great tips on local living and the Coolum community. The owners are super friendly and run this incredibly busy business with efficiency and still remain warm and friendly. I particularly love how much they support their local community, I've seen them help out people during the bushfires, floods, and all matter of calamities- a warm smile, a kind word for people who have gone through hardship. Supporting other businesses that were hit hard by Covid during our first lockdown and lots of other incredible acts of kindness i have seen them do over the past few years. And if you are looking for gourmet treats that are locally grown - they have the best stock in Coolum - they help support foodie entrepreneurs by displaying their stock, and telling the often fascinating stories behind the businesses that are local and home grown. Also fantastic range of vegan and gluten free products, (including my favourite Sol bread) - baked goods from local businesses, ready meals and salads and fantastic chia pudding! Also a great source of every day groceries .Thank you The Shop and staff for all you do!

I drop in most mornings after my walk and find the atmosphere buzzing with a mixture of locals and visitors enjoying the social setting. Coffee's great and the store has a grocery section which is very handy!. The Owners are always up for a chat and are very hospitable. Give it a try !

Pleasantly surprised to come across this beautiful shop! Had a lovely house-made chai and the staff were super helpful! Beautiful space to hangout in surrounded by plants right across from the beach. Will definitely be back!

Too many commercial franchise stores on the esplanade... but these guys have the vibe of the good ol' days at coolum beach...!
