Railway Hotel Cessnock

Shared three small dishes and a bowl of rice for lunch with my daughter. Quite a filling meal. Was opened before midday and the staff member who served us gave us some explanations on the dishes and recommended ones to try in the future. Only thing that I would suggest is to ask if they could bring the rice out first as the dishes came out staggered and it was brought out with the final dish. I would definitely go back when I am in Cessnock again.

The food was absolutely delicious and the staff could not of been more helpful or polite.
This restaurant has had a major overhaul and is so welcoming.

What a hidden gem. Staff are friendly and extremely helpful.
The food was delicious, we were passing through around 5pm and needed something to eat very rare to find something at that time. Will be back to enjoy other things on the menu.

Great Food and service! The Railway Deluxe Burger is my favourite. Me and my social group love to come here whenever we can! isn’t it ironic that a train buff like myself likes to dine in there?

Pulled pork burritos and chicken parmigiana were amazing, especially the salad dressing, just so yum! Generous serving, good price, and friendly staff.

We attended a Surprise Birthday Party for 60 people at the Railway Hotel Cessnock over the weekend. The Staff were friendly and professional and the three course meal was as good as any top class Sydney restaurant. The meals are very large portions, great value! The accommodation was basic but extremely clean with a big breakfast next day. A beautiful old Hotel with so much history. Scott and James certainly know how to keep everyine happy whether young or old. Keep up the great work.

Great food!! Staff are super friendly. It's nice to see the younger generation enthusiastic about being at work with great customer service. Thankyou guys great job all round 🤙

Great local mid strength brew (and cheap). Great food and even a barber that gives a beer voucher with a haircut. Great pub 👍

The hotel has changed a lot it now has a babar shop and a new bottle shop wich is open till late they also will do home delivery
They have slowly brought this hotel back to what it use to be like full of life
Railway has $9.90 lunches through the day and every Thursday night monday nights is trivia night .tuesday they have pool comp.wednesday they have bikini girls from 5pm till 8.30pm Thursdays is karaoke night and cheap drinks even yhou you can get a schooner of railway for $4.30 every day
Fridays is raffle day chuck a duck which jackpots $200 every week till $2000and then it is drawn till it goes off after raffle they have railway DJ in the back beer garden if weather permits
Saturday night is Dj night again very popular with the younger crowd
Sunday arvo is chill back time with a band in beer garden from 3.30pm till arond 6.30 with some very good bands
Bistro is open from 11.30pm till 2pm then 6pm till 8.30pm o and happy hour every weekday from 4 till 6pm

Consistently great feed, nightly dinner specials on most nights with good pool tables and TAB setup is awesome. Regularly show big pay per view events.

Great food and pub, be careful what night you go if taking kids as they have lingerie ladies and kids can see them from restaurant 😂

Stopped in by chance to eat lunch and found staff from bar and restaurant up to management to be professional and courteous and most of all friendly, and very reasonably priced and freshly cooked, we will return

Have a great cheap 🍺 called Railway, do yourself a favour and try it.

Great pub for a feed a very cold beer or even a great hair cut with barbers on site and even get a free beer or soft drink with every hair cut definatly worth a stop

Love this old school atmosphere.
Good beer and service.
Definitely worth a visit again.
