Hanging Tree Wines

We had an excellent time at Hanging Tree yesterday. We walked in on a whim without a booking (there was only two of us) and the staff were only too happy to accommodate. Mike was fantastic! So friendly and knowledgable, we learnt some interesting tasting facts and got to taste (and buy) some incredible wines. And the dogs! So friendly and beautifully natured.
We will be back!

We have just had one of our best wine tasting experiences in the Hunter Valley. We were extremely well looked after and the wines (both red and white) were excellent and good value. Our host was very knowledgeable and enhanced the wine tasting. We were also greeted by four legged friends, Muscat, Kahlua and Sambucca which made the experience even friendlier. First time visitors and we will definitely be back. Looking at booking the on site accommodation 😄

This place is what I want out of a cellar door experience. The location was just lovely. The wine, honesty I loved 7/8 I had. Very good wine. We ended up in the yard having wine and & a tasty cheese platter perfect for 2. Mark was fantastic, friendly & chatty. We will be back, Thankyou so much for a fantastic afternoon!

Mike you total legend! Had a beautiful wine tasting session with a group of friends, he was warm, knowledgeable and passionate about the subject, (not to mention how delicious the wines were) would absolutely recommend! The dogs are also very cute and well behaved :)

Added benefit being that there are some cute dogs residing at the winery ready for a pat.

He was a pleasure to listen to and spend time with, he certainly does the hanging tree proud and made our experience unforgettable and educated us when it comes to drinking wine, thanks very much Mike. You made the experience and what a wonderful place.

We had a lovely experience at Hanging Tree Wines. For a minimal price, we could taste so many different wines from their collection and decide which ones we wanted to take back home. Id highly recommend visiting here if you are visiting hunter valley :)

We had a lovely afternoon tasting really amazing red, white and sparkling wines. Uncle Sam was very friendly, made us feel very welcomed! And the dogs were so cute .. what a beautiful place. We had such a wonderful time here and of course, came away with a good few bottles of wine 🤩 10/10 recommend!

We stumbled across Hanging Tree Wines one day and decided to start up a membership straight away. They have so many great wines, the estate is stunning, and the staff super friendly.
It is a beautiful family friendly venue that we will definitely be popping into every time we are in the Hunter.
I would highly recommend going here!!!

Love the wines here, all are great. My favorite are Cabernet merlot and Shiraz indulgence.
There are 4 dogs who are very friendly

Had a wine tasting with Ken on Sunday 10th Sept , He was just so informative and friendly. Best venue thanks to Uncle Ken, we learnt alot. Keep up the good work and you are too young to retire.

Hanging Tree Wines is a fabulous winery wiht acres of vineyards perched on one of the most scenic ridges of Pokolbin, this family-run winery offers an unforgettable experience.

The award-winning wines are sure to please any palate. The olive groves add to the beauty and tranquility of the property, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing day trip or weekend getaway. Definitely consider a weekend stay at the Homestead with the family or a group of friends, it's magical.

If you're ever in the Hunter Valley region, make sure you add Hanging Tree on your list of places to visit and consider joining their membership, it's well worth it.

Had the best wine tasting of the day here.Mark was a fantastic guide, knowledgeable and very entertaining. Must try is their Petit Verdot. Yum.

Great destination. We have been regular visitors over the years. The wine is top notch. The staff very friendly and knowledgeable about the wine and area. Now there is an ev charger you can sip and have a cheese taste board while you charge.

Such a wonderful, wine tasting experience at Hanging Tree. Uncle Ken was fabulous - so much knowledge and just a fun and kind guy. All three generations will be back to buy your wines. Highly recommend.

In love with this winery. This place is also dog friendly. You can taste their fine wine with your pup sitting right next to you. The owner have 4 dogs as well and they are super friendly. The staff here are friendly and amazing. We were hungry and asked if they have cheese platter to offer. To our luck, they provided us a cheese platter with our wine tasting experience. Highly recommend!

Had such a great time! I would say it’s highly recommend if you are a wine lover, and a must if you are dog lover as well! Everyone was so friendly and they have some really interesting wine selection that you don’t find anywhere else. We stuffed our car trunk full fur sure. Beautiful view too. And was told they are a pet friendly accommodation as well - def coming back with my dogs next time.

My family and I enjoyed this experience so much. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking-the best views for sipping wine. We recieved not only a great tasting of wines, but information about how to determine the aging of wine, what to pair it with, etc. The woman who did our tasting was fantastic! Highly recommend!
