Absolutely delicious food. The Szechuan chicken was divine. Lovely staff.

Delicious food, friendly/obliging staff, an extensive menu and a spotlessly clean, and attractive interior. This North Richmond restaurant is an absolute delight! They willingly cater for a gluten-free diet. I thoroughly recommend River Orchid for an enjoyable dining experience.

Oh my God the food here is absolutely amazing. I ordered a huge $200 selection of different dishes to feed 4 adults 4 children and there was plenty left over for lunch the next day. I ate like a King So treat your self if your in North Richmond and pick up or eat in at Thr River Orchard.

The lazy Susan’s and dodgy looking vinyl chairs! You know this place is authentic and run by true Chinese aunties and uncles who know Chinese food right away! Not the most fashionable decor but part of every Chinese child’s upbringing. That musky smell on those vinyl chairs and the bleach on the tablecloths? Definitely the smell of my childhood.

The food far exceeded my expectations for a regional town! I was craving Chinese after being here for 2 months and I definitely did not regret it!!! The garlic chicken was moist and cooked to perfection which is exceptionally difficult because it comes out on a sizzling plate. It is also chicken so you cannot under cook it and I usually would never order it because it’s safer to overcook it. I am glad a friend insisted on it or I would have avoided like the plague. The roast duck was authentic as was the plum sauce and as my favourite dish I am always delighted to have it.

Any locals who want an authentic Chinese childhood experience, you cannot go past this place food and atmosphere wise.

Thought I wouldn't able to eat Chinese again after needing to eliminate gluten from my diet over a year ago. On a whim I called them after seeing another review about those that are gluten free being catered for. I was order gluten free dishes that were very tasty and hD no reaction. Be orderi g here again!!!!

Visited on the 16th of April 2021 food was delicious staff were great. Highly recommend this Restaurant to any one. I give a special thank you to The River Orchid Chinese Restaurant 😊😊😊😊😊. Visit today 23/12/22 with my wife and daughter and Mum and Uncle. Everything was excellent as usual. I ordered some take away today being the 12/4/23 was great as always. XIEXIE MEISHI

Have dined here in June July September and November. Social distancing is exercised well. Hand Sanatiser readily available and insistence of sign in apparent. Some so called Dr put a post to the contrary. I would suggest either he has his restaurants mixed up or is in need of a Dr and not the general kind. Food here is always excellant. Very caring owner and staff. Well worth the visit to this very clean well presented restaurant. Sometimes silly reviewed deserve 0 attention. In this restaurant you will get excellant qaulity at affordable prices and in a safe environment. Cheers.

Have not gone to the restaurant for a many years (moved away) and enjoyed the whole experience again. Staff were attentive and engaging and the food was delicious and great value.

Best Chinese in the Hawkesbury. Food is always so fresh, the restaurant is clean and the staff are friendly and accomodating. Highly recommend.

Great food and great service, friendly staff however trey are very heavy hanged on the garlic so ask for less or none if u don't like to much. Also they have a great kids menu with a meal drink and desert for a reasonable price

Even in busy times the staff are always polite and friendly. Best fresh wonton soup in Sydney. Generous servings, fresh food, reasonable prices - what more can .. ask for

The food at this place is AMAZING! Best Chinese Restaurant we've been to in a while. Mongolian Lamb and the Szechuan Chicken was so so good! Will come back every time.
