if you don't want to go to Japan but want to have amazing Japanese food then you'd better visit here...

Recently had a much postponed revisit to Nagisa. We do not live in Newcastle, and too many years had gone by being busy elsewhere. But at last we managed, and we were not disappointed. The food was beautifully presented, exquisite as always and the service was on point. We only merely dipped into an excellent drinks menu, with a great mix of local stand-up wines, with a fantastic range of Japanese craft beers. The menu was concise, with good traditional staples, but with a contemporary twist. Altogether a delightful evening. We have missed this place.

Every dish was amazing especially the apple pie gyoza, very creative. First time try dessert gyoza.

Amazing experience. Both the food and service were sensational and made our anniversary celebration one to remember. Our highlights were the duck and the tartare, both mouth watering and very unique; still thinking about it days later, though we couldn't fault the sashimi, wagu, saki, cucumber salad, edamame beans, and sponge cake either! We'll be back for certain.

Delicious food! It is pricey however for the amount of dishes you get on the set menu and the quality of the food I feel it is worth it. Really enjoyed the pork belly especially. Lovely place to dine in.

Last minute decision to take the In-Laws to Japanese (for the first time!) for Sunday Lunch. Best place we could have visited by far! The food tasted amazing, was superbly presented, and the in-laws were suitably impressed. The service was quick from order to plate. The staff were attentive, friendly and happy to make suggestions. Fantastic drinks menu and the location by the harbour was perfect. Definitely one for the regular restaurants to visit list. The In-Laws are now definate converts to Japanese cuisine 😃

Great atmosphere and every dish we ordered was amazing - delicious with interesting flavours and textures and beautifully presented, with the wagyu beef a melt-in-your-mouth stand-out! Great wine list and cocktails and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

We, as a group of 6, dined here on Friday night and had a fantastic experience. The ambiance was welcoming and the service was outstanding!

We ordered the sharing banquet, which was beautifully presented, tasted fresh and delicious. The variety was impressive, and each dish was flavoursome and well presented.

The service by Macy was outstanding, she was attentive and friendly. She ensured our drinks were always full and the table cleared between courses.

Along with all other staff, they added to the overall dining experience. Their hospitality didnt go unnoticed and they truly contributed to making the overall dining experience a delight.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at Nagisa and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a taste of Japanese cuisine. I will definitely be returning in the future. Thankyou 😊

The food was exceptional. The staff were also attentive to our needs. We had a seafood bento and pork belly for mains, and for dessert we had the banoffee gyoza. Everything's amazing, will definitely be back!

Visited this place for dinner with my partner yesterday and we absolutely loved it! The service was incredible, our waitress was beyond lovely and all the staff made us feel very welcome. The sweet soy duck breast was a bit of a miss but all the other dishes were so great and would definitely recommend ☺ we will definitely be going back here.

My family had a beautiful banquet dinner. The food was very well spaced out and heaps of food for the 5 of us.

Utterly splendid evening spent recently at Nagisa. I took my girlfriend here for a date and it was one of the best experiences at a restaurant I've had. Food was incredible and well worth the price. The service was excellent, especially
the waitress we had (tall blonde girl, name was hard to remember sorry! Starts with E?). They were outstanding and are an absolute asset to the business. Highly recommend this place and will be going again for sure.

this is the best place to eat in Newcastle. the food tastes fresh and full of flavour. I loved everything we ordered. It was brought to the table very promptly. The staff were approachable, presentable and really looked after us. The place is easy to find and easy to get to.
