Basin Cafe

Stayed over Australia day weekend and visited this Café before returning home. Can recommend the smoked salmon bagel. I added the poached egg.
Finger lick'n good.

I love the basin! The coffee is always amazing. The bacon and egg burger is definitely a must try with added relish and aioli :P

Been a regular since they opened and I love coming every morning. The coffee is consistently good, the staff is always welcome and even when it's super busy service is pretty quick and food is always good. The B&E roll, scrambled eggs and banana bread are always delicious. Also, kids friendly, dog friendly and super close to the beach and next to the park.

I will travel from Albion park to Wollongong to have a coffee here! It's a absolute hidden gem.

I always order for breakfast scrambled eggs on sourdough with a side of bacon. It is perfection everytime. If you can make something as simple as bacon and eggs taste amazing you are are a great chef, as so many cafes seem to get it wrong.
The girls that serve me are always pleasant and kind.
I now have told friends about the standard of coffee that is served and they have become regulars.

Great atmosphere and staff with a pleasant view looking out to Wollongong harbour. Great spot next to a park and the harbour to bring the family, grab a delicious coffee, and head for a relaxing stroll.

We had the steak sandwich and smashed avo with bacon and poached egg.
Bacon was really nice. Steak was tender.

This has got great service and atmosphere. Had breakfast here twice and it's pretty busy. Don't get anything fancy, the toasted sourdough is the best. Coffee is great. This has got both undercover and outdoor seating and public toilet available.

We ordered fish and chips (take away) for Good Friday, it was ready at the time we had arranged, loads of food and it was yummy.
Of course we went back for coffee later

Absolutely fantastic. We came down from the Gold Coast for a few days and found Basin Cafe.

What a find!!!! I can say Google maps isn’t great at getting you here as it takes you onto the backroad and you need to be in the beach side road (Cliff rd maybe?), but once you find it you will be happy!!! Delicious food, good menu options with GF options/bread and can tweak to be DF as well if needed. Coffee was great and staff friendly. A cute little hidden away cafe that you must find!

Prompt service, pet friendly, good food and coffee. Plus, proper cutlery unlike nearby places that use takeaway plates and cutlery for dine-in.
