Went two days in a row just to get the chance to try their bagels and got lucky on the 2nd day :) we shared the bagel of the month (roast beef), the mushroom sando and a hashbrown. The sando was great but the bagel was the absolute highlight - so incredibly amazing!!
Also have to say that the staff was outstanding! Super helpful and just lovely!

Weekend road trip to Wollongong led us to a charming boutique cafe, renowned for its daily handmade bagels. Unfortunately, they were sold out but It opened us up for a pleasant surprise in their other dishes, which are so thoughtfully made and absolutely delicious.

what we ordered:
▫Fluffy and smooth scrambled eggs on toast, perfectly seasoned 🌟
▫Chilli oil cavolo nero is such a rare find, love the chilli kick, a true revelation! 🌟
▫Coffee rubbed Pastrami won our hearts—so moist and tender, a new standard for pastrami 🌟

Their coffee is very good as well, a very satisfied fulfilling cafe meal. If they are in Sydney. I’d be a regular for sure.

Delicious bagels and canelé’s. But highlight was a long blacks we had - some of the smoothest coffee have ever had. Definitely add to your list for breakfast or lunch.

The food is delicious and beautifully presented. A great range of drinks and healthy food options perfect for a light brunch. The Matcha latte is excellent.

Best breakfast in Wollongong by far! Opus has THE best bagels and breakfast food without a doubt 😍 the Autumn bagel is my fave with the cashew cream cheese and creamed corn 🤤 paired with a coconut cold brew, it goes down a treat! Opus is a little pricey as breakfast goes but well worth it. I wish you could book tables online as I don’t always love waiting but for Opus, I would wait a lifetime. Love love love!

Plenty of coffee options and everything tastes delicious. The cold brew was amazing and the coconut milk added the perfect amount of sweetness. The breakfast bagel has a good balance of taste & texture. The interior design is really cute and I just love the overall atmosphere in this cafe.

Just a heads up if you're planning to dine in, make sure to leave plenty of time to get the best dining experience in this cafe. They do table service for dine in and it might take relatively longer. Still, this place is worth visiting for all the coffee lovers out there☕

Looking around for a good place to eat breakfast on Google, found this and I am so glad. It is honestly some of the best coffee I have had. I had a Flat White, Macchiato and a V60 all incredible, was tempted to order more. The food as well was so good, everything tasted fresh and it all utterly delicious. I know I will visit again as it was honestly that good.

Bagels, brunch, donuts and specialty coffee can be found at Opus Coffee Brewers in Wollongong.

It is probably one of our favourite cafe visits in a long time. We were impressed by the friendly service and breakfast dishes that delivered on quality and taste with much of their ingredients made in house. The bagels and bread is so fresh and fluffy, the eggs perfectly whipped and the accompanying sauces were delicious.

We loved the Nduja Fried Eggs; which is 2
Fried eggs, nduja whip and guindillas on Pane Paradiso sourdough. A good spicy kick to the dish and the bread is so fluffy and delicious.

We also tried their Chilli scrambled eggs. These scrambled eggs were perfectly scrambled, and served with chilli + garlic oil and shallot on Pane Paradiso. We also recommend ordering a hashbrown, made in house - this comes with kewpie Mayo and jalepeno hot sauce! One of the best around.

The menu is otherwise predominately bagels; we got a plain one with in house made cream cheese and found the bagels to be nice and light and good quality. You can also order salmon bagels, bacon and egg bagels and more.

We also love their coffee, and all served using stunning ceramics. Note: they even do a Biscoff latte!

Don’t forget to grab a muffin, cookie or donut for later!

Staff were really accommodating and friendly with us and our little baby and we appreciate that welcoming nature greatly.

Introduced Hubby to Opus yesterday. He loved it. Our Beef Sambo was delicious and filling (had to get a doggy box) and coffee was yummo, made even better by being served in some gorgeous artisan ceramic mugs. Happy to recommend.

The problem I have reviewing cafes these days is they rarely compare favourably to the breakfasts we cook at home. While breakfast looks deceptively simple, there’s nowhere to hide on a plate where the produce is the hero, from bacon to eggs to sourdough. I’m thus inclined to give Opus Coffee Brewers top marks, as it was just as good as our home-cooked breakfasts. From the friendly greeting as we stood awkwardly at the sign waiting to be seated, to beautiful earthenware cups bearing Single Origin Paradox blend coffees, expertly made, to the inviting menu of well-considered eats, everything here is excellent.

We tried a cappuccino ($4.20) and a strong flat white ($4.70). In the eats, we both had chilli scrambled eggs ($16) with my dining companion opting for the OLD BAY® Seasoning buttered prawns ($8) add-on. They weren’t really necessary in terms of flavour, as the crunchy blend of chilli oil, garlic and shallots packed a good punch over silky scrambled eggs. They were draped over Pana Paradiso sourdough, which was so good I drove up to Austinmer (Moore Street General) straight after breakfast to buy a couple of loaves to take home.

Clearly the Nutella provided for my two toast slices was not enough, but they gave me more after I asked. The vibes are very Newtown. Young and friendly customer service. Excellent food and great coffee.

Heck yes. I wanted a tasty batch brew (I think I’m like a low-key coffee snob?) and a big breaky to fuel my day, Opus brought the goods. I’m not normally that guy that takes picture of his food, but I needed to. Tasty ingredients prepared perfectly and served beautifully. I’m so stoked I sat down here for breaky.

Can’t fault Opus, have been a few times now when passing through Wollongong and it never disappoints. Good is delicious, coffee is great and the staff are nice. Great vibe and an interesting take on their menu.

A quality contemporary cafe. Friendly and attentive staff. Top notch coffee. Excellent food offer. The braised beef toasty and 4-cheese and Vegemite toasty are both delicious but you can't go past the chilli scrambled eggs. I've had them half a dozen times and they have been perfect every time.

This is a super cute, highly instagrammable space with exceptional coffee, friendly service and swoon worthy plates and cups. There are heaps of vegan and vegetarian and some gluten free options here - the orignial avo on toast with halloumi was next level! Will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

The breakfast bagel with the coffee pastrami is next level.
Service is, as usual, upbeat and well-informed.
Batch brew is always on point.
