Jasmine Rice

Very generous portion and great service. The food & drink (I had Thai milk tea) were quite sweet, especially the dipping (?) sauce. I felt like I was eating/drinking sugar directly lol.

Service and food were amazing. We love the floor seating as it gave a different experience. We would definitely come back to try other dishes.

Outstanding food. We found this place by accident, simply like "oh, Thai place, why not?"
Turns out, it was the best Thai food we had for a very long time.
Strongly recommend trying their signature dishes.
Lots of options there, including vegetarian.

Dining at Jasmine Rice was the best. It is one of the best Thai restaurants we have ever dined in. The food was amazing. Really get the authentic taste & also love their generous portions. The atmosphere is so great. Will recommend an early booking to avoid queueing. Can park 6-7 cars only.

Me and my girlfriend both loved it here. Parking was hard being in Wollongong although there are a few spots along the road if you are lucky. We tried 3 different dishes, See ew, Beef Fried Rice and the Lemon Chicken. They were all big plates and in my mind good value for money. The presentation was very nice and the taste made me happy that I have a container for seconds. The atmosphere was quiet and warmly, there are nice designs, wall art and big glass windows which we were seated at. It gave us a nice view of the cold rainy weather outside and made us thankful that I was not part of it. The staff were very kind and the cat robot that sings while it delivers birthday cakes and takes back dishes was a nice cute attraction for customers.

It’s been a long time since we went to the dine in at Jasmine Rice. The place is very busy inside the restaurant as well as takeaway. Book ahead. Just like before, the food was very good looking and delicious. Fun fact, they now have one of those automatic robots that go around with plates. Kids will be amused. Great entrees and they have a good selection of drinks. Have to specially mention the pork ribs and chicken noodles. One of the best I have had. The only thing we noticed is the prices are high. But give the current economy of both banks and governments ripping off the common working man with high interest, raw food is expensive. So expect to pay a bit more. That’s all good, as I mentioned before that the food is delicious and big in quantity. Definitely recommend and will be back again. Oh and if you’re driving, there is a council parking spot , just a few meters away.

We have been here quite a few times and we have not been disappointed yet, we can’t fault anything with the food. It all tastes so amazing, the staff are lovely, the decor and the vibe is great, they have a robot that goes around and collects plates it also sings happy birthday to people it’s quite cute. It’s always busy in there so expect to wait a bit for food but it’s worth it. We have also experienced sitting down on the floor to eat, I was too much of a fan of that only because I’m not used to it but I enjoy trying new things :) I will upload more photos when we return and have something different. I do highly recommend getting the fried rice with prawns from here it’s highly addictive to eat

Went with my friends from overseas to took them to the tour and we had lunch in this restaurant.
Price was reasonable, good portion was quiet big rather than other restaurants.
Would love to visit again

If there was ever a restaurant that deserved 6 stars, this is it.From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted with a friendly smile and staff dressed in traditional Thai attire. You're taken to your table, or like us, you sit at a low table on cushions. The staff are so happy to serve you and are friendly and very attentive. We had a large order and we couldn't make up our minds. It didn't matter. The waiter was patient and kind and helped us plan our meal. And what a meal it was, it was served fast and presented perfectly. The food was delicious just like it was delivered from Thailand. I dine out a lot, and It can be hard for me to come away from a restaurant and say that it was an eating experience. The restaurant decor is perfect, and the atmosphere is calming and perfect for eating and chatting. To the staff and the owner, well done congratulations. I will be returning and shouting your name to anyone who will listen. Even if you live in Sydney, this restaurant is worth the hour of travel to dine here. Oh, and I shouldn't for get the birthday singing robot, but you have to dine here to find out about this unique little touch of tech. DONT FORGET TO BOOK.

amazing service, incredible food and decent prices. my friends and i really enjoyed their hospitality and the food was worth the slight wait. it was a busy friday night and we didn’t make a reservation, but they still got us a table. the folks at jasmine rice were amazing, would highly recommend!!

The Jasmine Rice restaurant may not look like much from the outside, but it's decorated with authentic Thai features, with the staff wearing traditional Thai clothing. 🙏
But the best feature is the food... so far it's been impressive each time, and I'd recommend one of the lunch Set Menu specials... beautifully presented and offers a nice variety of flavours! 😋👌

Great Thai restaurant, the atmosphere of this place is fantastic, the staff greet you straight away. We chose to sit on the cushions; lovely experience! It was very comfortable, you get to lay back and chill. Their uniform is beautiful, makes you feel like you are already in another country.
The service is really fast and dishes came out really quick. The price compared to portions is exceptional, we did not expect it was going to be that much food. Everything tasted amazing, went beyond my expectations.
Their scallop dish was my favourite! Highly recommend this place if you are visiting the area.

Undoubtedly they served the best fried rice in Wollongong. Authentic Thai style food. Their every dishes are pretty much delicious. Strongly recommended.

Been going to this excellent Thai restaurant for years even before the fancy ones opened up in Sydney. A 50 year old institution that serve beautiful Thai food. Their tatami style seating (when open!) added extra ambience to your gathering over good food. And as I discovered they have off the book menus that you can order ie. their pad prik khing.

The dine in experience is what differentiates Jasmine Rice from most Thai places. There is option to sit with tables and chairs or on the thai floor cushions. Service deserves a gold star.
Food is tasty and we were greeted with a complimentary dish on Mother's Day!

We had lunch in this lovely Thai restaurant. The decor is fairly traditionally Thai style which brought us back to the time in Thailand. The floor staff were all elegantly dressed. We were pretty surprised by the ambient, as well as the automated robot which carried and transported tablewares. The dishes were all nicely presented with large portion and assorted ingredients. They all of course tasted superb. The pineapple fried rice was a hidden gem not on the menu, but it came as per requested to the waiter. The soft shell crab salad was amazing as well. The price was reasonable with respect to the portion. We will definitely come back when we visit Wollongong next time!

Jasmine rice is as good as I remember if not better. The food is to die for so many wonderful flavours and it all tastes amazing. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food service I very fast considering how busy they are . Definitely worth the drive up from the south cost.
